Newt Gingrich Newty-Newt Wants Insurance Mandate!

Old timer's not going to get much in the way of news, so taking a controversial position gets his name out there. This is the main issue that Mittens will have to fight against, so it gives him some cover, doesn't make it seem so drastic. It's a long shot, but strategy wise, might be a very smart move by gingrich.

If you look at the crosstabs on Iowa, most of gingrich's support comes from people who would never vote for someone who supported a health care mandate. If we're gonna hang him with it, we should do it sooner then later before the Mitt mobile really gets to either spin this issue or distract from it.

Newt doesn't have a chance anyway. He had an affair with another woman while his wife was being treated for cancer, during the same time he was persecuting Bill Clinton for the whole Monica Lewinski thing. Not that that's releavant to anything, but Romney et all will disembowel his campaign with this, once the smear starts.
