News? Off twitter:

I don't think Ross is on twitter. His Perot Charts site is also shut down.

Nothing more on the machines etc. yet and nothing on the internetz re a contribution from Perot anywhere, would be nice but so embarrassing when I'm so careful with my retweets. Not the first I've heard about Bain and voting machines though.

I think the machines bit is real, at least I believe this guy researched it and it is going to come up in the law suit.

if poeple are gonna get killed, time the militias offer protection, body guards etc... seriously this is what they there for, they have being preparing for the time and this is it, this DOES NOT MEAN over the top radical stuff, simple body guarding thats all or even have a radio link where they can radio in.

I certainly hope there's more to this than the myth that Romney is manipulating the media with Clear Channel.

It isn't about that. Apparently it is about votes being switched in delegate conventions or something. But I don't know. This guy was right about that law suit, though, and he was tweeting about it weeks before it was filed.

Very interesting. I really, really, really hope this is true.

I feel pretty sure it will be in the law suit. Whether they have the facts to prove the assertions, I don't know, but apparently they have done some searching on it. That is a separate issue though.

They used machines at the Arizona convention.

and one of the allegations as I understand it is that that process was so squirrelly, even the Romney supporter delegate who was supposed to certify the results refused.

They used machines at the Arizona convention.

I just tried to find out more about the AZ convention machine, and it doesn't look like it was any kind of "algorithm" in that instance. As best as I could understand in the video (loud, unorganized, people yelling like in most of these convention videos), the Old Guard notated the "Romney Slate" with a "*" next to their names. *Coincidentally*, those names were placed right above those on the "Paul Slate". When the scanner was counting votes, it caught the asterisk and essentially counted the names right above the "Paul Slate" people instead of going on to count the actual intended vote.

I imagine they will make the argument that this was unintentional when it is brought up in the court case. I have a hard time swallowing that, personally, but then again I am rarely surprised by people's sheer stupidity either. Either way, they were either criminally intent or downright stupid, neither of which is something to be proud of. In either case, all involved officials should lose their positions over it.

So, they don't test these machines or the ballots through the machines?

Well, I'd guess that their story will be that they made the ballots but didn't test them and the whole ordeal was just one big accident. Something tells me that protocol would be to create the ballot and then do a test election to make sure things were working properly, so I would conclude that their story won't hold any weight. Like I said, either stupidity or criminal intent. I'm leaning towards the latter, but the courts will make the decisions that matter.

One big concern I have is in how many of these conventions were votes counted this way. It could be that this has happened before and wasn't caught due to secret counts and whatnot...this isn't the first time I've heard that asterisks were used to designate the RNC/Romney slates...
