First off, no one's opinion here on the drug war is indicative of Sen. Rand Paul's position which is allowing states' to handle their own business as it's not a federal issue in the same way alcohol was per an Amendment. If you've ever read the 9th Amendment it's clear that enumerated rights aren't the end-all, be-all. Granted, these hard drugs weren't prevalent back then but hemp and marijuana were as evidenced by the paper the BoR and Constitution were written on. If you agree that we were bestowed with a Constitutionally-limited Republic by the Founders then you'll note no where in Art I, Sec I (where Congress's powers are listed) is the power granted to impose restrictions on any form of consumption thus it's a state issue covered under the 9th and 10th Amendments. At most, states will likely only tolerate marijuana use and not any harder drugs anytime soon so this whole extended argument is a moot point. For me, I don't want militarized police, black markets that fund gangsters or stacked prisons where I'm paying to house mostly non-violent criminals.

Following the publication of the NYYRC Blog Committee’s article, Ron, Ran, and the Mises Institute, the article was picked up by two forums in particular. Which two forums will come as no surprise to those who read the article.
- RonPaulForums.com – This is just what it sounds like. A grassroots fan forum for Ron Paul, and presumably many Rand fans, too.
- Stormfront.org – This is also just what it sounds like. A White Power forum for “racial realists and idealists.” If you’re wondering who frequents this forum, think American History X. Before political correctness set in, they were called neo-Nazis. Interestingly, they also claim to promote “true diversity and a homeland for all peoples.” This echoes perfectly the language of Aleksandr Dugin. He calls for a “multipolar world.” In other words, where racial and cultural minorities can live according to their own rules. Otherwise known as “counter-hegemony.”
Monitoring the site visits, I noticed from which sites visitors were being referred. After a little searching, I found both posts. And then it hit me. Both RonPaulForms.com and Stormfront.org use the same exact forum software. See pictures (click to enlarge).

Notice the format, the ranking system, the layout, the headings, the sidebars, etc. Same software. Not sure what it is, but that’s not really important.
Also notice some other things. The poster in the Stormfront forum has as his avatar George Lincoln Rockwell, the former head of the American Nazi Party. His handle is “AnCap,” which likely means Anarcho-Capitalist. For those uninitiated, anarcho-capitalism is the Murray Rothbard brand of anarchy. That would be the same Murray Rothbard who founded the Mises Institute with Ron Paul’s former Chief-of-Staff, Lew Rockwell (another Rockwell… hmm…).
Notice the handle of the other poster in the Stormfront image – “AwareofJews”. That’s not so subtle. And who was it who just attended an anti-Semitic conference in Canada? Ron Paul.
In conclusion, the article was picked up by both the Ron Paul crowd and the neo-Nazis. The “racial idealists” at Stormfront apparently like the American Nazi Party and Rothbard’s political theory. And, of course, they use the same forum software… which, though I use the internet every day, I don’t recall running into before.
