EDIT: We need someone to head the advertising for this site. If anyone is interested and has experience, please, please, please PM me!
So Steve-in-NY and I started a few days ago on planning this new website -- a website entirely devoted to busting all the myths about Ron Paul. That he's a racist, that he's afraid to take action against China, that he's a radical Evangelical Christian, that he'd ban abortion nationwide... just some of the myths that are widespread about Dr. Paul.
Why is such a website needed? There is a lot of misinformation out there. Admit it, while talking to people about Ron Paul one of these has come up at least once. We need a website like this to dispel the myths, and hopefully gain over a few more converts.
This is an idea that could really do some good if enough people get involved. If you're interested, PM me with your Google username and I'll invite you to a Google Docs. We need Graphical Artists and people to type out the arguments debunking the myths. Basically, we're looking for a paragraph or two for each myth -- they need to be written very objectively, and they need be typed as if you're tying to win someone over to our side. They need to be cited extensively! For the Graphical Artists we need a banner for the website.
Here's a list of the myths I currently have. If anyone comes up with more, you can definitely do that one. Otherwise, pick one from the list and type out an argument!
If you're up for volunteering, please get in contact with me! Steve-in-NY's been working on the proof for the website, and this is what it's currently looking like: http://631webdesign.com/rp/
So Graphic Designers and people to type up the arguments are all needed. If anyone can lend a hand, thank you!

1. The only people who support Ron Paul are "crack-pots."
We need to focus on the diversity of those who support Ron Paul. Democrats, Republicans, teachers, lawyers, college students, etcetera.
2. Ron Paul is a cook -- his ideas are crazy.
3. Ron Paul is soft on taking any action against China, and therefore is weak economically when compared to Trump and others who would impose a tariff.
4. Ron Paul is an Evangelical Christian, and would "Christianize" America.
5. Ron Paul was insufficiently against Bush's wars.
-I think this stems from Paul's support of invading Afghanistan. The thing is, he supported it with the intention of us going in there to capture Bin Laden and then getting out, neither of which we did.
6. Ron Paul is too old and too senile to be President.
-I think a very strong point for this argument would be Paul's health, the contributions of many elderly professors and scientists and the fact that Reagan was old as well, and yet he was a strong leader.
7. Ron Paul wants to ban abortion nationwide.
-We need to touch on the fact that Ron Paul is against abortion, but he believes the Constitution forbids the federal government from intervening -- that he thinks doing so is unconstitutional! That it's a state issue.
8. Ron Paul would ban gay marriage nationwide, or is heavily against it.
-Same notion above -- that while he may be against he, he philosophically doesn't believe one person has the right to influence the actions of another, and that it's unconstitutional for the federal government to intervene. And also, how he believes the federal government has created the problem of gay marriage through requiring marriage licenses!
9. Ron Paul's ideas pursue something of a "utopia," which is impossible.
10. Ron Paul is too radical, and too far to the right.
11. Ron Paul is a third party candidate.
-I know, this one's crazy, but I've heard it before. This probably stems from is Libertarian run, perhaps. We should cover why he ran as a Libertarian, and now why he's running as a Republican, and how he's publicly stated he won't run as a third party -- that he's sticking Republican.
12. Ron Paul is a racist.
-Yup, this one. We need to touch on where this stems from -- the newsletters, and explain this one thoroughly. This one might be one of the most important ones we dispel.
13. Ron Paul is unelectable.
-This is our biggest myth. We need to shatter this one into a million pieces.
14. Ron Paul is anti-Israel.
-We need to make Paul look very pro-Israel by getting out of their affairs. We need to explain how cutting funding to Israel would not be just Israel, but all nations. We need to explain Paul's stance on why we give aid -- to manipulate countries as opposed to help them, and that it isn't right.
15. Ron Paul is not a Republican.
16. Ron Paul is an isolationist.
17. Ron Paul will completely shut down the Fed and IRS immediately.
-In reality, he'd slowly faze them out.
18. Ron Paul is a 9/11 Truther.
19. Ron Paul is “retiring” from his House seat, and therefore this proves that he’s too old, or feels like he can’t win.
Paul is LEAVING his House seat -- as we all know, not for any of those reasons but because he feels it’s the CONSTITUTIONAL thing to do!
