Hey all,

I noticed today there was a great deal of clamoring for a design of a 4 x 6 postcard sized hand out to give to young people at concerts and other events, dealing specifically with the War on Drugs. So I came home after work and whipped up something that I am actually pretty proud of, given the amount of time I spent on it. It is much cleaner and easier to read then the previous version, thus more effective at conveying the message we want to get across.

It is design intended to be front and back but you can print either one out and use it to your liking, together or separately. Hope you guys like it!

Update: I uploaded a new file with some of the fixes and changes that were suggested.

Change "FOR" to "YES for the..."

Also, change the alignment In the bills part.... It is distracting and pulls the eye all over the page.

Lose the for the legalization of hemp line

Replace the period after that red text with a colon:

Can we add somewhere he's a medical doctor?

Shouldn't we link to ronpaul2012.com instead of .org

Consider swapping green text white back for green back white text

Don't like the front but the quote is solid

Should it instead say voted no to establish a border patrol task force dedicated to combatting drug trafficking

Maybe something like, with a cure for the war on drugs, or some shit

Thanks!

I have a friend that lives in a large somewhat poor apartment complex and pretty much everybody that lives there smokes pot. It's possible to get into all the apartment buildings. They routinely tape notices on everyone's doors if there's an announcement. Would it be a good idea to tape these up?

Sorry for the delay on the adjustments. If anything, I definitely need to swap out .org for .com. The former doesn't go anywhere at all, so that was my bad for making a mistake and switching .com for .org.

The other recommendations I will take into account and see what I can do.

appreciate it bro

You bet!

I uploaded a new zip file with the updated designs. Unfortunately, the Illustrator file for the back of this design was corrupted somehow and I couldn't open it any longer. So I was forced to use the pdf I had saved out to make alterations. This limited my ability to make all of the changes in a proper manner. I did however, fix the .org to .com issue and a few others. I hope this will still be something everyone here can put to good use!

I really like it.. but damn, I don't know any target demographic who I would want to let know that Ron Paul wants to legalize cannabis and not also want to tell them that he wants to end our overseas wars and curtail our foreign empire.

That's the 1-2 punch that really gets a lot of people that go to festivals and concerts and such really interested.

A quick mention with a solid quote I think would get a lot more people's attention.. maybe something like:

"..and how fast would Ron Paul bring our troops home from the Middle East? "As quick as the ships could get there.""

I also posted this on the thread where people were looking for the old rock show slim jims but then noticed there was a new one.

Headcount.org will be hosting a table to register voters at a number of shows and festivals this year. These might make for good shows to target these flyers at since attendees will have an opportunity to take action at the show.

Yeah, you're going to want to give these flyers out at umphrey's mcgee shows. definitely. would headcount allow you to just give them your flyers and they'll put them out?

Looks like "co-chair Marc Brownstein of The Disco Biscuits." The Disco Biscuits would probably be in favor of legalize it.

I'd go as far as to say people should sign up to volunteer. I will say that those exact bands that you could be meeting could be Ron Paul supporters. They could play a show for Ron Paul. Those are the bands you want. Indie Rock and Jam Bands. Their fans would be receptive.

While Democratic Senators Robert Menendez (NJ) and Sheldon Whitehouse (RI) are considered two of drug court's biggest proponents, check out these words from Republican Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky. He has said, "We need to treat drug addiction as a medical condition and reserve space in our prisons for those who are violent."

So glad I found this. I was carding cars this afternoon when I walked past my neighborhood head shop and noticed that it has an Obama sticker on the front window. I want to convert these folks.
