Indeed.

The tee shirt sentiment gave me a chuckle but I think it's a foolish idea right now.

I'd suggest being wise and exercising some patience for a while. After all, obomba hasn't even been inagurated yet.

Of course y'all are free to do whatever you want but I think the wise thing to do is to give the obomba-ites their time to bask in their victory. In due time, when the change they were promised turns out to be the same-old, same-old and the disgruntlement begins, bring out the tee shirts. Even then, I'd make tee shirts that say "where's the change?" or some such, rather than something directed at obomba.

I'm not sure you young folks fully comprehend the racial component of the first black president, nor do you comprehend the emotions it dredges up in some people. I worked a polling station that was mostly black on Tuesday and even I was surprised. Mark my words, any criticism of obomba will be seen as racisim and bigotry.

So work smart and spend your energy on educating people on important issues such as the Fed. There will be a time for dissing obomba but it isn't now.

Because IT IS WHAT IT IS. You know your dislike for obomba has nothing to do with skin color and you could wear a huge disclaimer stating so, but that's not how it will be perceived by a lot of black folks.

Any criticism of blacks = racism and bigotry, just like any criticism of Jews/Israel = anti-semitism. You're not going to change that perception, wrong as it may be, by wearing that in-your-face tee shirt and in fact, you may "invite" harm to yourself. Do I like it or think it's right? Aw, HELL NAW!!! But that doesn't change what is.

I personally had 2 instances in the last week of someone getting viscerally angry with me because I wasn't on the obomba change train. I'm a 50+ year old, 5'2" harmless female. I don't know any of you but I care about your physical safety because we need all r3VOLutionaries alive, not beaten to death over some ill perceived racial issue.

I'm just saying that there are other ways to go about this, once things don't change for the better. And that's my motherly advice, take it or leave it.

i'd like to make a comment regarding the way i deal with those who demonize my dislike of obama's intentions by using the general issue of "race and equality" in this election.

while i am not of the mindset that any form of marriage should be regulated or "allowed" by the government, we currently do have restrictions or the required 'granting of permission' in place. there were number of measures on ballots across the nation that were geared towards gay/lesbian equality in the arena of marriage. every single one of them rendered anti-gay/lesbian results.

so, while the whole nation is priding itself on this "historic victory" for equality; and claiming my views as racist or oppressive... they are just flying the biggest hypocritical bigot flag ever. if a majority of people voted for obama and "the black man's historic achievement of equality", those same people had to have some hand in voting against the equality of another minority.

so don't feel so bad about being accused of racism. cause a majority of them (obama supporters, not just 'blacks'... i'm not racist) can be accused of hypocrisy and oppression towards minorities as well.
