New study claims Dr. Seuss and his books are racist

It's all a damn circus. Change my mind!

Post WW II "you dare not deny the holocaust" Germany.

Of course it is and of course it did.

I have no issue with these images, especially when taken in context, that being that in the case of the Flit gun ads, the drawings of everybody were in Geisel's style, which was to characterize everybody, and that it is ad copy for a device that hasn't been on the market in 60 years now. Or the "Toadstool Jew" propaganda, in that there is no current threat of the rise of an absolute dictator with a strange mustache taking control of Europe. Although I might take a second here to note that the majority of antisemitic "hate" in the west, is being committed by colored people and the left.

They are artifacts of history at this point.

Let me be clear, I want nothing censored, especially by government.

I just want the ability to counter the current images and speech that is being used against me, in the same venues, without being "canceled".

We will have to agree to disagree on the "Flit" ads. The white guy being boiled alive and "saving" the savages from the mosquito in no way lampooned the white guy. Almost a "white savior" and "white victim of savagery" rolled up into one. That said, you see it as you see it. As for the toadstool cartoons, true we aren't in danger of some guy with a funny moustache from Germany. We aren't in danger of some guy name Joseph Stalin with a thick moustache from Russia either. Both were socialists. One was a national socialist and the other an international socialist. Both were mass murderers. Maybe you're not one of those that gets triggered by the Che Guevera t-shirts either. I dunno. Anyway, we agree that cancel culture is bad. And you have the right to speak out against any threat you see on the horizon as does everyone else. Someone pointing out that Dr. Suess drew some cartoons that could fairly be characeterized as racist doesn't cancel you. It doesn't even cancel Dr. Suess. He's still on PBS Kids for crying out loud.

I would not be so unequivocal about defining a book as racist. I write reviews of books and services and read this book. It has a lot of hidden content. To be precise, I recently came across an article from the bibliography that I was given for a college paper. I have been looking for a long time for someone who can correctly explain to me the meaning of the book and the meaning of mentioning it in the article. Then I found a site that describes reviews of various services that can help. And already on each of such services, it was explained to me that sense of it only that not so many authors write similar deep on the content texts about it.

Aufheben der Dr. Seuss

One of the latest big targets of Aufheben der Kultur is Dr. Seuss and his wide body of popular children's literature. Why? Because of its success. Seuss becomes a cultural anchor point for hundreds of millions of children and adults, and by tainting Seuss, his legacy, and your own memories of him with accusations of racism and "harm," they can abolish that shared cultural anchor and make more room to advance their own agenda, in which every text is "decolonized" and geared to indoctrinate you and your children into Critical Theory, especially Critical Race Theory. Join James Lindsay in this episode of the New Discourses Podcast to dig into the Critical Dr Seuss academic literature to see where this Aufheben der Dr Seuss comes from and how it works.

Did James Lindsay call it, or did he call it?
