you should ask RonPaul.com to sponsor the app and let them give it away free

imagine how many people will download it and the message will spread

I like the idea of giving it away for free, but the reason I'm charging is because I think we will have an easier time getting into the top 25 paid apps vs free apps.
Out of the top 25 free apps, last time I checked Facebook was the 25th app! I don't think we can out download Facebook even if we are free. What do you guys think? Is there a benefit to making the app free that I'm missing?

Not trying to tell you what to do, but donating any proceeds to liberty candidates would encourage people to buy the app. And I think that you are correct on charging $1 if you get it on the top 25.

That was my original plan, and I still plan on doing it if the app ever does make money, but apple does not allow developers to say they will donate to charities or organizations in their app description.
