New RevPAC Social Security TV ad "Tea For Two"

The little guy's expression at the end is great!

if only he had given himself a *facepalm* :)

Ummm that has got to be the silliest most ridiculous thing I have ever seen. I sincerely hope it doesn't actually air on TV, it would be embarrassing to say the least. Are we even attempting to be taken seriously any more? Or has the entire campaign truly become a joke?

HONESTLY?!

edit:

i don't think its ridiculous, would you have felt better if it was two old people saying that? i think having it be the kids dressed as old people gives the notion that Ron Paul's plan is straighforward so that even "kids" can understand and it subtley reminds people that it's to give the future generation a better future.

also it's more likely to go viral this way.

-rep. Sorry, I don't like to neg rep folks. My advice is that you make an ad video, raise money to air it, and then I can +rep you to offset the neg rep.

The ad in my view is the weakest of their three ads. It is still good, but not great.

The real question I have for Rev Pac's Board of Directors is why have they utterly failed to attract large donors and large sums of money like Endorse Liberty and the Santa Rita Super Pac's have?

Asking the Ron Paul Grassroots for money time and again, who already by and large are already tapped out, supporting the Official Campaign has not and is not working. Just look at their Ron Paul Powercast Donation Tote Board tonight.

While their intentions to support Ron Paul are praiseworthy, their strategy for fundraising have thus far been disappointing at best.

Love it! Now please r3vpac, send an ambassador to overstock.com and have a sit down with their executives!

I think it would be more accurate to call it a Social Security / Electability ad. Definitely a good idea to cover both issues in one ad.

Ad is BRILLIANT.

You younguns don't spend much time around old folks, do ya? lol....

The thing that ALWAYS catches their eyes in television commercials is ....

LITTLE KIDS.

This is brilliant.

Whoever came up with it GETS old folks.

Kudos, guys.

I can say this about RevPAC. You get big bang for your buck. I've seen first hand how they get their ads in targeted markets - like during the debates in NH. Many people, including me, don't get paid (only expenses) by RevPAC we volunteer. Big Bang for your buck!

I think that's overly critical, he said, bring our troops home, to protect our own shores and borders.

Everyone already knows Paul wants to bring our troops home.

What they don't know is his stance on SS.

I agree. There's nothing a Republican can't get behind in there. And if they would balk at that line they would never, ever vote for Paul. We've got to get the ones who WOULD vote for Paul if they just knew.

Does anyone know how much was spent to make this ad?

It isn't your money so it isn't your business. Not trying to be mean, just making the point that seems to be forgotten around these parts way too often.

When you DONATE money to any cause, as soon as that money leaves your hand, it is no longer yours. That means you don't get a say in how it is used.

Sorry, that's a fact of life.

And while I'm talking money and gifts, here's some wisdom I picked up from Clark Howard many years ago: If you loan money to a friend or relative, think of that money as a GIFT, not a loan. If you get it back, great - but if you don't get it back - your relationship with that person isn't destroyed over money.

-rep.

I think this is a very cute ad that will be effective. Addresses the issue of electability and helps with our worst demographic...seniors. Undoubtedly, it will remind them of their grandkids.

This needs to air!

My thoughts too - Electability, pulling indie, youth, and dem vote, and clarifying social security. The important messages all wrapped into one ad!!

Well, that's technically true; when you donate money, you lose the ability to dictate what is done with it. But, you forgot the other side of the coin. If I don't know what was done with my donation, or I don't approve of what it was used for, I won't donate any more money to them. I would argue charitable organizations should have a vested interest in transparency and with wisely using whatever funds are donated; if they adopt your attitude, they won't last long.

Just donated $100, not much but every little bit helps. I don't see how the ad can but help with one of RP's worst demographics - seniors.
