As I posted before, Schiff needs to initiate a moneybomb and match the donations. I don't see any other way for him to motivate contributions fast enough, unless a great poll comes out. If he doesn't do something fast I don't know how he can win.

I am kind of ticked off at schiff's campaign right now.
He needs name recognition Badly, So where is it? The primary is on August 10th.

By now he should have his name and face on a ton of billboards in every city.
Billboards, while not great for message, are great for NAME RECOGNITION, and billboards are not that expensive, and if you go electronic billboards, they are cheaper than the normal one, since your add is only displayed part of the time, it makes it cheaper like a timeshare.

There are 2 normal billboards in Hartford that would be great. On where 91 north meets 84 east, and one where 91 south meets 84 west. Everyday thousands of cars are parked in traffic on this stretch of highway. Having just those 2 spots would increase name recognition immensely...Now if he did this outside all the major cities, it would be kind of hard to ignore him.

But alas, its too late now, only 1 month left, contracts are already signed for the boards.

Also, he should have been saturating every other commercial break on cable tv channels, which is cheap. Since just taking local spots, not national, these adds are cheap (talking thousands, not hundred thousands). On cable you pick the channels you want to advertise on in blocks. They are targeted at your demographic to increase responsiveness. So you can pick just the news and weather stations, or sports, or daytime talks hows and woman's networks, or you can target the science/history/tech channels. Well you get my point...and mid morning and late night blocks are the cheapest.

Far as I am concerned these steps should have been taken long ago, to prevent this primary ballot petition garbage. If he was serious about winning, and was going to run to win, then he should have been done with the name recognition stage BEFORE the convention. The primary is on August 10th, just a month away, and now its time to do a money bomb for adds?

I hope this campaign was just a warm up to go for Lieberman seat, because right now it seems to be fallowing the Ron Paul fail train course. You cannot win an election by just speaking to the people and being dependent on grassroots. Public speaking events tend to just be rallies for our own grassroots, and your not gaining any votes holding rallies. Normal people don't go out to listen to politicians speak unless they are already behind them. I mean seriously, during the last election did any of you think, "hmm I should going to a see McCain speak, I would like a better idea of his stance on the issues"?

Elections are won on TV. Since we know there will never be a debate, and seeing the local media is marginalizing him, that leave him with advertising. If he want to win the republican nomination, he is going to have to spend a lot of money. He has 1 month, he needs to have like 20 different commercials running. I say it is time go all out attack. He needs to beat her into submission with negative cunning commercials. They kind of adds that make people wonder to themselves why they should send her to Washington to represent us.

In the end if he was able to humiliate her into submission, Simmons would probably still beat him...or at least that is what the polls say.

I just don't know what think about Schiff right now. Maybe he knew it was a lost cause When Dodd dropped out and just doesn't have his heart in it anymore...

Peter, if your going to win this, you need to do it last week, now get on the ball!

Maybe he knew it was a lost cause When Dodd dropped out and just doesn't have his heart in it anymore...

I generally agree, we have only ONE MONTH left, what's he doing? But then- why would he write a $75K check last week if he did not plan on winning? It's very all confusing.

How much longer can this mediocre campaigning continue? It's time to get very aggressive.

He probably still has somewhat limited funds so he is waiting to blow it out the week before the election. If he gets more money maybe start two weeks before the election. Those TV ads are not cheap.

It saddens me that some are giving up on Mr. Peter Schiff. I ask, what is the difference between his race and Ron Pauls race for President? As the vote got closer in the Paul Campaign we knew Paul wouldn't win. Even Ron himself thought he wouldn't win. He was running to spread the message of less government and more freedom. Ask yourselves was it worth the time even though Ron lost (and we knew that he would as time went on).

Peter Schiff is spreading an economic message in Connecticut of freedom from government control. Peter Schiff answered "our" call to run for Senate. And his refusal to quit when others in his position would is an admirable quality. It only takes one voice, one relentless voice in a sea of opposing voices to change the world. Peter Schiff may not win the primary but we will still win.

Peter Schiff - A true statesman.
