New Nine Inch Nails album released today - pioneering a new way to sell music

Anyone here get the new NIN album released today? I suggest everyone gets it, even if you dont like this kind of music.

The way they are distributing there album is revolutionary and will help end the tyranny of the RIAA and big record labels. They have gone completely independent. You can download the full length album (2 hours of music, high quality lossess format, 40 page pdf, plus extras) for only 5$ Alternatively you can order the actual CD's for only 10$. You can also listen to the entire album streaming for free, and download the entire first CD in high quality format for free. Link.

Hopefully this will be the future of music. This is a perfect example of the free market in action, taking down a quasi-monopoly that has stopped being competitive. Oh yea, all the music is 100% DRM free.

Very cool, I didnt know trent was going to do this. I kinda think his music started falling off after The Downward Spiral and was never better on Pretty Hate Machine but I might give it a try.
Have you listened to any of it yet? If so, give us a little review.

Just downloaded it right now, I'll put a review up later. I agree that downward spiral/ pretty hate machine was the high point of his career, but I think this album might be really good. It is a 2 hour instrumental, so I guess it depends if you like that kind of thing

HELL Yes!

I purchased the uber-ridiculous $300 deluxe package. Trent Reznor has never let me down with anything he's every produced. For 36 new tracks, $5 is well spent seeing if its any worthwhile.

Cool, looking forward to it.
