Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush has climbed to second place in New Hampshire's Republican presidential race, according to a poll released Thursday.

The NH1 News poll showed Bush with 11.9 percent support among likely primary voters, just ahead of Ohio Gov. John Kasich's 11.8 percent.

Front-runner Donald Trump maintained his commmanding lead over the field with 31.7 percent.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie was fourth place at 11 percent, followed by Sens. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) who are both at 10 percent.

Next up is businesswoman Carly Fiorina at five percent, retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson at four percent and Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) at three percent.

Trump holds an even bigger lead among GOP female voters with 39 percent support, and Bush a distant second at 14 percent.

The random telephone poll surveyed 416 Republican voters and has a margin of error of 3 percent.

I'm not sure if this is a legitimate poll or not. It hasn't been added to RCP or the Huffington Post average of polls yet.

New Hampshire is over rated. Live Free or Die eh?! What a joke.

We need this election to some how move back to the economy. We are off to a pretty bad start in 2016, this will not be a good year for anyone in this economy. Book it. Rand needs to get out in front. We are in bad shape.

As long as meme is about Mexicans, Muslims, and fear......this is the top 5 we will continue to see everywhere unfortunately.

Chris Christie? and Bush? what kind of sick joke is this? no one inn new jersey wanted Chris Christie to run not after he has a horrible track record as Governor. Noticed how this fatty never mentioned his record as a Governor at the debates?

What a joke.

New Hampshire is actually the one exception where I think a wall would be a good idea, particularly to keep all of these damned carpetbagging commies from Massachusetts from flooding in and screwing with the state's electoral politics.

Re: The NH1 poll

Not sure if this poll meets criteria for the Fox Business debate scheduled for 1/14/16. Not clear if live interviews were conducted as required for inclusion in poll average.

REACH Communications conducted this survey of 1,000 registered republican and independent voters whom stated they will be voting in the 2016 First in the Nation Primary on February 9th 2016. This survey was conducted on Thursday January 7, 2016 at multiple times and each candidate named where rotated throughout the survey for a more accurate result. This poll was taken using an automated dialer and a margin of error of +/- 3.1%
(emphasis mine)

The poll is now shown on the RCP page, but not all polls shown by RCP meet debate criteria.

He went all in on NH

Fox News released their poll in New Hampshire a little while ago, and it broke down this way:

Trump 33
Rubio 15
Cruz 12
Bush 9
Kasich 7
Christie 5
Paul 5
Carson 4
Fiorina 3

Then the others at 1%

Iowa was:

Cruz 27
Trump 23
Rubio 15
Carson 9
Bush 7
Paul 5
Christie 4
Huckabee 2

And the rest, including Fiorina polling at 1 each.

They haven't used that one in the past- what they have used:

Fox News
Investor’s Business Daily/TIPP
Quinnipiac University
The Wall Street Journal

Maybe all of the "Live Free Or Die" people actually died.

There are plenty of freedom loving people in NH, it's just they aren't really attracted to the GOP.

It's like running the Librertarian Party in China. There's plenty of communists there, but don't expect them to vote LP to get a communist in power.

Christie, Bush and Kasich battling for 2nd :(
New Hampshire, The Bring about World War Three and Die State.

They really need to change that state logo.

Not only is it no longer meaningful by any stretch of the imagination, it is actually offensive to many of those who live there. They don't want it, can't stand it, and are no doubt embarrassed by it.

To be fair, it was about living free (or dying) from the king of England's rule. Which, is really still in effect.

Interestingly, the state of NH believed in 1977 that the freedom to cover up the "or die" part of the motto wasn't a freedom worth dying for.

It took the supreme court to convince them otherwise.
