Hello everybody. My name is Jeremy and I'd like to join into the ranks of this forum. I was a conservative first because of my belief in the free markets and I once had a belief in a tough foreign policy. then I switched over to the liberal side because of the rhetoric of the apparent equality of results and the caring of minorities and other social classes. And now, I think I have found a home with Ron Paul, Rand Paul, Murray Rothbard, George Reisman, and all of you.

I actually want to use my first post not just as an introduction, but as for my first question. What news does everyone follow for the happenings in the world? I no longer stand MSM and the incessant statist propoganda and talk show yelling. But without these, what sources of news can I get? Libertarian leaning would be nice, but news sources that tell what is REALLY happening with no bias is good enough. I already do mises blog and lewrockwell. And John Stossel is one of the few people on Fox I watch. So, any help for a newbie?

You should definitly check out "Freedom Watch" with Judge Andrew Napalitano on Fox Business (You can find youtubes frequently). Also, DailyPaul.com is a pretty good resource for random freedom movement videos and news.

But really, just stick your head in the "General Politics" forum, and you'll get a fair amount of news that has been filtered for bias from us liberty-minded folk.

A lot of us check Drudgereport.com simply because Drudge gets stories / news incredibly fast; but Drudge has a slight Neo-con bias simply based on the types of stories he chooses to run / provide links for (and also how he titles his links). Take drudgereport with a grain of salt. If you have doubts, just ask anyone on the forums and we'll be happy to give you the scoop.

Oh, and Welcome to LibertyForest!

Edit: For example, someone just linked today's youtube for freedom watch in General Politics! See here: http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?283132-Freedom-Watch-3-10-11

www.wsws.org I don't always agree with their conclusions, however, they are certainly unbiased for ideologues and their analysis is some of the best I've seen.

Welcome! I would say that most of the news is irrelevant. I would get as educated as you can at Mises.org. They have thousands of open source wonderful books and a vast array of media. If you want to get a better understanding of the world you should take a week and listen to mises university http://mises.org/media/category/17/Mises-University 2009 has audio and video lectures. They also have a great Itunes section for downloading the media.

Another + for Freedom Watch with Judge Napolitano.

I get a lot of my news here. Welcome, it's a good feeling to be enlightened isn't it. Takes a while to see through all of the lies, at least it did for me.

I also look at Mises Institute, Lewrockwell.com, daily caller, tom wood blog page, read a lot of books too.

Thank you so much everyone. Just want to stay on top of the all the lies and minsformation that we get.

New member here also, but been following Dr. Paul for about 4 years. Figured I would register to this site before he announces, just want to be ready for all the great discussions that are sure to come. Always been a fan of RP videos made by the grassroots like "A New Hope", or "Don't Tread On Me". so I decided to give it a try. Here's the latest one I did.

I also put together an hour of you tubes to educate newbies. I call it Ron Paul, The Champion of the Constitution. This is my first post on this site, just trying to get used to it.
