Ehh, I would avoid mixing ammo that have significantly different grain-weights and muzzle velocities. That would throw accuracy all to heck.

I have yet to see any form of boutique ammo stand the test of time.

As of now, the company is only releasing specifications for their 9mm round and they go a lil’ something like this:
* 16″ Penetration
* Up to 6″ diameter spread
* 96 gr projectile
* 2″ grouping at 25 yrds
* 1265 FPS / 490 Muzzle Energy
* 9 Separate Wound Channels
* Precision Machined
* Solid Copper / Lead Free
* Defeats all known barriers such as sheet metal, sheet rock, windshields, plywood, heavy winter clothing

Looks like there is high potential for over-penetration.

Wait until the first death occurs because the splinters went all the way through the target. Bye-bye G2 Research, I suspect.

This strikes me as a bit of a gimmick and I am not fond of those at all. The .45 GAP was a gimmick cartridge and now you can't find it anywhere and there are a lot of people with useless pistols.

Gimmick bad. Proven tech good. That's reality in the gun world.

I carry VERY hot .40 loads and SAAMI max .357 and .45 ACP. I am not very worried about not knocking down anyone at whom I would be shooting, even with body armor.

Not saying these things don't work - but they may work too well. If you ever shoot someone and the splinters strike an innocent bystander, your ass is going to get PWND in the courts of equity, almost guaranteed. It seems these projectiles may be a solution in search of a problem. I may be wrong, but that is how it seems to me. Will run this video by my resident ultra expert on such matters... see what he thinks.

Is this +p ammo? I don't know. It doesn't say. But why doesn't it? Probably because it isn't. But if it isn't, then why the 16" penetration (which I think is considerably more than even +p ammo in 9mm, and I think even more than Buffalo Bore +p+ in any 9mm bullet weight)?

Also, the math doesn't work out. A 96 grain 9mm bullet traveling at 1265 fps would only have a muzzle energy of 341 foot-pounds, not 490.

OK, spoke wiht my friend about these. He said they look really nasty, but was not sure they would penetrate well. The flanges break off into small splinters and he doesn't see how they would go through heavier clothing. He said 16" penetration in gelatin is about normal. I'd neglected to ask myself "16 inches of what?"

Yes, the ME claim is not correct... or at least something in what they claim isn't.

The Fed will out law them, or buy up all the company's production so none can be bought by the civilians. Anyway with them being C&C Machined and made of copper I would think they will be expensive and I would not expect a good report about there performance

I have a hard enough time just getting regular ammo. You're right, that stuff will probably never be available.
