NEW AD - Ron Paul 2012 TV ad: 'Start protecting America's borders'

And it's directly counter to Romney's police the world speech, great way to show off Ron Paul's stances! Combine this with the upcoming debt reduction plan (line item detail he said) and Ron Paul is throwing down the gauntlet.

Ad in a bus tour (hopefully) of Iowa and we should be in great shape.

awesome! but still waiting for the pie chart or bar graph showing how we dominate with support from the troops!

M'eh, it's ok. At the end it should have said "stop wasting American money AND American lives". That would give it an extra emotional punch.

yeah, dusman made a fantastic ad. I sure hope our numbers are as compelling this time!

which ad is his? yeah me too. our next ad needs to be themed "bring our troops home". showing that they want to come home. pull at the heart strings. bring up how we split apart families and real people die for political agendas which do not have to do with defending america. essential;y say. save a soldier's life. vote for ron paul. if we make this our message to voters. it will subconsciously be in their mind that they are most assuredly condemning more american soldiers to die without cause if they vote for anyone other than paul. make the voter realize that they are holding americans lives and families (and middleastern innocent lives but we dont need to say that) in their hands and see if they can start to feel responsible. again, SAVE A SOLDIER'S LIFE. VOTE RON PAUL

Know your audience: GOP primary voters are more likely to be persuaded by a fiscal argument against war than a moral one, unfortunately.

I'm worried about that line item plan, every line has a constituency. I kinda wish he'd kept that until after the election...

Ron will need a mandate for real change if he's elected. The more specific his plans are, the more of a mandate he can claim if he wins.

Conversely, if he won through pandering and then tried to implement sweeping structural changes, he'd be in a very difficult position.

Also, while it will very likely hurt him in the general, I think GOP primary voters - at least the sort that would even consider voting for Paul - want specifics this time around.

from: http://communities.washingtontimes....o-con/2011/oct/6/ron-paul-puts-america-first/

"When Rick Santorum shamelessly exclaims that Ron Paul is blaming America for 9/11, not only is he wrong but he is also being intellectually dishonest. Santorum, like the rest of the Republicans, opposes our current healthcare predicament. If Obama-care destroys our healthcare system in the next ten years, no one would claim that Senator Santorum had “blamed America” for our healthcare problem. Like any other conservative, he is simply blaming a flawed policy"

Dr Paul has to steal this line and fast!!!!!!

It's a good ad guys but I don't believe the $1.5 trillion....even Ron himself uses "1 trillion" in the debates.

If you look at our national budget, around $800,000 is for defense, which is all military spending. Yes, hundreds of billions are horribly wasted, but it's not $1.5 trillion.

If I'm wrong somehow please correct me but I'm pretty sure that 1.5 figure is incorrect.

Yes. YES. YES. This ad is exactly what we need right now! Great job, campaign!

This ad sends the right message on national security to GOP primary voters. The Revolution PAC ad sends exactly the wrong message to primary voters.

Ron used the $1.5 figure in a recent debate.

Here's an article that breaks down the full national security budget:
