New Ad (Its good)

I did not like it and gave it 1 star since it said "God given freedoms" that might offend some people.

I have a feeling there's far more people in the United States (not to mention this geographic area) that will love this more than those that will not.

Lmao, umm, if the goal is to keep from offending anyone then he should not say, do, or advertise anything in any way. I'm agnostic and I could care less about who uses the word "god" or how they use it. As long as my rights are determined to be mine no matter who supposedly gave them to me.

The idea of "god given rights" comes from the idea that the rights are natural to humans and not given by the government. So unless you'd rather have government given rights such as we currently have, I don't understand your complaint.

i'm a christian... i don't mind athiests...

could someone explain to me why certain athiests are allergic to people like me?

tolerance is a two way road.

I'm an atheist and I'm in no way bothered by that sentence. Who the bleep cares! The message of this ad is great. Hands down the best one I've seen the campaign launch. :) (reminds me of the shining city on the hill ad for some reason)

Yes, sod the illegal wars. Stealing of money via taxation. Loss of freedoms. Destruction of our nations.

Let's all get upset about people beleiving in Gods. Woe is me, woe is me.

Dear me, either some people are losing site of what matters, or there is an infestation of trolls.

I know which one I think it is.

Actually, even among atheist libertarians this will be an obvious reference to the natural law basis of rights, as opposed to rights being a gift of the government or society.

It's the right note to hit, believe me. Speaking as an atheist libertarian.

And if it blows the dog whistle for religious conservatives, too, so much the better.

The narrator sounds like Ronald Reagan. I wonder if that's a coincidence or not.

Actually, my only nitpick with the ad is that the narrator for some reason makes it sound like a fake Colbert ad or one of those fake commercials on SNL.

He's forcing the earnestness but not really feeling it. You need someone to read those lines who actually believes them. I realize that contradicts the norms of professional broadcasting, but still.

But it's only a nitpick. As ads go this is a really good one.

Very nice ad. An Atheist here. If I got peeved about every little reference to God, appropriate or not, I'd spend my life with clenched fists.

I'll just bide my time. The world is coming around to reason on it's own.
