Well, I'm not sure what he is getting out of it, if anything at all.

He's got a link in his sig and bumps this particular PM seller every once in awhile.

If someone is going to monetize this site, I'd appreciate them getting a banner and helping support our server costs.

You should charge people for posting their businesses on this forum. I just added Scottsdale Silver to my favorites, I plan to call them as I was looking to buy some silver. To be honest, I rarely read your advertisements, not that you don't do an excellent job of presenting them, but I am very focused on the threads and I don't come here to shop. I really think it is in your right to request a fee for people pushing their products and web pages on your forum. I would pay you for posting such threads because I know I would get business by doing so. I hate advertisements because I don't trust them anymore and I think most people on this forum would agree. I do trust the people's opinions on this forum and I follow up and check out what they pitch here. I say charge 'em!!

Another thing to consider, when I buy silver from Scottsdale and I am not happy, I will trash that company on this forum so everybody will know they suck. On the hand, if they do me right I will let everybody know that I am a very happy customer. People can discuss on this board the merits of the products that forum members are pushing. You could begin a new way to advertise on web forums. Again, I say charge 'em!
