Herman Cain did not support TARP as it was passed. His major 2008 article on TARP said he supported OWNERSHIP of the banks through stock...his mistake was probably trusting the government to manage TARP. He has since clearly stated he believes the implementation of TARP was a complete failure. He is not in favor of choosing winners and losers. Ownership in a bank does not pick a winner or a failure. It is speculation of expected future performance...that is basically the way the stock market works. So it was simply applying free market principles to a larger scale (portions of the banking and auto industry in this case), brokered by the federal government. Yes, it was naive to trust the government to implement it correctly. Instead it failed at implementing it and there was much waste of taxpayer money. That is the big rub everyone is griping about, but they just don't realize it. We can all bet with Cain's laser-like focus on executive leadership and management (which Barry Hussein Obama completely lacks), that Cain would have implemented a TARP plan with much more success and no waste, truly returning a profit for taxpayers. Instead we got the waste and incessant spending binge courtesy of the most liberal, progressive socialist "regime" to hijack power away from America and Her Constitution.
Folks, if whining about TARP is the biggest complaint about Cain (and it seems to be in the top 3 out there), that's NO REASON not to vote for the man. He is by far the BEST candidate out there. A true conservative, speaking truth to power like Ronald Reagan did. He can run circles of logic around Obama all night and day long.
LET'S PUT A REAL BLACK MAN IN THE WHITE HOUSE IN 2012!!!
