Nevada results rolling in now!

Yep, if what he tweeted is the same as the "official" whenever they get around to adding it, looks like it.

Except for the fact that the Washoe County GOP chairman said the state GOP is not reporting the correct results for Washoe County.

The bottom line is that eventually we have to get at least half the delegates. Even if we manage to get 40% of them (which is waaaaaay optimistic), the rest of the delegates will congregate around Romney to stop Paul. We are the splinter group. The rest of the candidates are homogenous. They'll band together to stop the outsider. I just don't understand how anyone who has watched how the GOP has acted the last four years could possibly think that they'll let Paul win in a brokered convention in any way, shape, or form.

If you want to say screw you to the GOP, then yes a third party run could help toward that goal. Saying screw you to the GOP might make you feel better, but it doesn't actually do anything to promote liberty. Third party will be ignored as in every presidential election i have seen in my life time. BTW Ron Paul is not able to self fund a BILLION with a B campaign like Ross Perot. We're working with millions with an M.

I want to see people's hearts and minds changed and I think staying in this primary process as long as possible is the best way.

That's all I have to say about that. Agree or disagree its not our decision to make and he's said he won't run. We are getting this thread way off topic(my fault too) so I'll stop now.

Voiced support for it in the past. That was my point.

Ok, I didn't see that part. I just wish people would stop assuming that everyone that disagrees with Ron on one or two things does it because they're a sell-out. It is possible to have honest disagreement. Justin Amash has stated that he disagrees with Ron on Iran and he also disagreed with Ron's opposition to the "Cut, Cap, and Balance" Act that was proposed during the debt ceiling crisis. When some of the Paul supporters got after him about this on Facebook, he came right out and said that Ron was wrong about the bill. I don't say this to imply that Justin doesn't respect Ron or to make people here mad at him. I'm just saying it is possible for decent people to disagree with Ron Paul about an issue or two without being cowards or traitors.

That was addressed yesterday and Washoe was determined to be correct.

Doesn't mean some funny business didn't go on there, but the numbers that the county GOP chair said were the correct ones have been accepted, and the totals for that county currently used ARE the numbers the county GOP chair provided.

Who accepted the totals?

Last night they changed the totals and then today reversed them back to what they first said!

But Jason, Gary Johnson isn't INSPIRING! He doesn't give you that FIREY FEELING!! NO ONE BUT PAUL OR YOU'RE A SHEEP DOMINATED BY THE REPTILIAN NWO MACHINE!!!

I agree, though, I'll vote Gary Johnson should Paul fail to get the GOP nod.

They changed the totals back to the old totals. So nothing happened in Washoe. It was only a 100 vote difference if I remember correctly though.

"Romney: 16,513 (50.1%); Gingrich: 6,958 (21.1%); Paul 6,179 (18.8%); Santorum 3,280 (10%). Total turnout: 32,930./#nvcaucus"

and

"That all means the delegates to be awarded are: Romney = 14, Gingrich = 6, Paul - 5, Santorum = 3. First numbers out, y'all."

Lisa Murkowski won as a WRITE IN for US Senate.....after losing her party's primary just last congressional election
That's ONE STATE with a very small population and with even smaller voter turnout, not to mention she's an established political figure in Alaska. You can't make the comparison.

Yes, those politicians have legitimate disagreements with Ron, but what their reps who come here to court the liberty cash don't seem to understand is that Paul supporters then have legitimate reasons for not supporting said candidates. Randbots being the main ones. Amash's people did it too.

I agree. No one should feel obligated to support a politician just because they are a relative or an ally of Ron Paul.

If we had done a better job turning out our voters we get 2nd - but that is stating the obvious at this point. On to Minnesota...

Oh, I agree. You don't have to support Rand just because he's Ron's son.

I mean, I'm sure Dittoheads wouldn't support Ron Reagan for President, just because he's Ronald Reagan's son! He's a progressive idiot, after all.

However, if said son believed in the cause of liberty and fought for it, I don't see what's the problem with supporting him.

But they will be negatively affected if everyone gives up on trying to work within the Republican party to change it. I don't think people should vote for Mitt Romney or Newt Gingrich. So I'm not against sending a message of No One But Paul for president. I just don't see how at this point we can make progress electing liberty candidates without participating in one of the two major parties and I'm afraid an independant run might lead to us just becoming more marginalized.

I'm not saying we should stop working within the GOP. This would just be a one time thing.

Inside the beltway "Libertarians" corrupted that effort - no more votes for that bunch, ever.

Thanks for the numbers but I hope everybody here understands that no delegates have been awarded, I firmly believe we will come out of the Nevada State convention with an overwhelming amount of delegates, that is if they don't shut down the power again and hold their own delegate party without the RP supporters.
