Nevada results rolling in now!

Who the hell wakes up before 9 on a Saturday except old people?
That was the whole point of setting it early.

Remember that for the longest time the media said "Ron Paul are young and energetic". Think of the one way to keep young voters from showing up.

Old people don't sleep as much so they are up anyway.

I also heard that the GOP just sold the rights to some big movie company to make this into a disaster movie :)

Seriously though, a 9 am caucus is ridiculous. Who the hell wakes up before 9 on a Saturday except old people?

Thats the point. They know Ron Paul supporters are younger and they tend to work more on Saturdays or they don't wake up early. Old people are retired and/or wake up early.

Well guys I think optimism is in order. PPP poll had Newt at 25% and Paul at 15% just a day or two before the caucus, no? We did better than I expected.

Old people might sleep less, they also might go to bed early.

True, but compared to 08 we didn't. With the current trend of doubling/tripling his support in every previous state, it is disappointing he couldn't even get 1.5 times that amount, let alone twice as much.

Is the Nevada caucus always at 9 AM, or was that a Ron Paul Special?

Hhaha yea, making the shit that damn early, least they could do is offer free waffles, grits, and sliders for everyone :D

I would have showed up in my robe, flip flops, hair all messed up, with my newspaper lol

Nobody who actually thought about it expected to double the votes in a state where he got 15-20% last time. There are only so many that are on board with the movement at this time. Yes we can quadruple our vote when we get 3.5% in 2008 in south carolina...that does not mean we are going to quadruple a state where we get almost 20% like minnesota, maine, or nevada. There was no reason to believe we were going to get 50% like a few posters claimed because they extrapolated improvements from horrible states lol. It was comedic.

Anyway we need to keep pushing. I think Gingrich will drop and Santorum may gain frontrunner status again to take Romney to the convention...if that happens, perhaps our mass amount of delegates will come in handy. :) This will be a fun election for sure.

Posting things that imply that we are not winning is not helping the morale of the Community.

People are demoralized because they don't live in realityville. I can't keep track of the threads and posts by members who continue to believe it's all about the youth vote despite statistics that say otherwise. I can't keep track of how many people can't do basic math. I can't keep track of all the people that make "what if" statements, flawed assumptions, leave out variables in their theory, etc. There is simply to many misunderstood posts when it comes to elections and how to win them. I recall a lot of people saying, "Don't worry, we got second in NV because of our ground game." Oh really?

This stuff all over hypes people in la la land. When reality sets in, people become demoralized because they simply don't understand. There are some in here that do get it, can see it, but it's far and in between.

I am in the under 44 crowd but far older than most in here. I've been voting since 1993 and when many of you were still in diapers, I was watching Cross Fire, Larry King, etc. and a big CSPAN junkie on a daily basis. Politics is my hobby that I have been following daily for 20 years. I even minored in Political Science at U of K just for the fun of it. A lot of people don't understand how I am not a politician. I am no Karl Rove but I know the basics because I've studied politics and elections intently during this time almost daily. So when some of us posts that we are not winning, it's because we aren't. It's not done to demoralize anyone as that is being done by overly high expectations.

We all on RPF want Paul to win. We shall see how things turn out next week.

What's more telling with the 9AM caucuses was they elliminated the caucus sites on the Vegas Strip where hundreds if not a 1,000 plus young casino and service workers could have voted while working. Some of them then showed up at the Addelson Caucus and were turned away because they wouldn't sign the affidavidt.

Clearly, by design, they didn't want thenm to vote and it cost us.

Full steam ahead for MN and CO though. No such garbage Tuesday night. 7PM. Let's rock.;)

That was funny.

Well, a hidden cool that came out of this was the air time those well spoken Paul supporters got on CNNs coverage of the "special " late caucus last night.

I think it was perfectly lawful not to sign that affidavit.

When I was at my hotel on the strip, I talked to some bartenders..they were RP supporters and were planning to vote for him, also said many of the co-workers supported RP as well.

we have no idea what precincts are left. I have no doubt that it's possible to make up whatever gap we have.

In 1 (one) precinct - we made up 126 votes on Gingrich. That was the one on the tv.

That was the special caucus held for Jews and Seventh Day Adventists. It was also attended by a bunch of Paul supporters who didn't vote earlier. My understanding is that the campaign had been calling like crazy, trying to get more supporters to actually get out and vote.

So, this is not exactly a "precinct" at all, much less an example that we can use to judge all other precincts.

No new results for a long time...anyone know what's going on at this moment?

lol!

Had to bring this here from twitter:

Ronpaulmissouri Missouri for RonPaul
How can we go to other parts of the world demanding democracy when we cant even fucking count votes in a presidential campaign? #nvcaucus
