Nevada: Paul supporters ready to step in after GOP leaders' resignations

I couldn't make up what shit is in Gingrich's book. What could the writer, who wasn't him, possibly make up for 200+ pages?

So the republican party is going to send money to a special organization instead of the party itself? There bypassing the local GOP's any way? so when I was a active republican 10 years ago and the old people always talked about how the RNC left them high and dry and thats why they dont listen to them at all and why Vermonts republicans were not usually in step with the main party? There going to kill a generation of republicans just by pulling that stunt!

Is there rules violations involved in supporting a competing organization outside the established GOP entities already existing?

With the history of bad support 3rd parties get how can a "team nevada" expect to get any real voters when so many people are just trained to vote R or D on the big elections?

I hope this gets more national news. The fracturing of the GOP is the biggest news so far of the election cycle. Romney and national GOP is already showing they'd rather tear the party apart than admit the possibility of Romney not being the nominee. This should be huge.

lol, it seems when we take over the GOP, they would declare it a third party and start a new one !

Team Nevada is not a new party. It is merely an acknowledgment that those of us in the Liberty Movement will not support their candidates, who are distinctly of the big government Republican, anti-liberty persuasion. The candidates they support will still run as Republicans. It will be our job to find liberty candidates who can beat them in primaries and caucuses and actually make a difference when they win in the general election.

Yeah, Team Nevada is just the RNC separating itself from the CCRP and acting as if it were the legitimate party. I would daresay this constitutes more rule violations, but what do they care?

I think people are fundamentally misunderstanding what is going on in NV. Team Nevada is merely the Romney campaign, sort of mixed in with a couple of other mainstream campaigns (Joe Heck and Dean Heller most prominently) that no liberty supporter gives a damn about. We don't care if they win because they are not reliable votes for liberty. They are no more than marginally lesser of evils. Not enough to have us work for them.

So, it's not really a party or taking over the function of the party. It is an amalgam of campaigns working independent of the party. If they try to take party funds, then there is illegality. But if all they are doing is using their own raised funds to campaign for those candidates, then there is no illegality of any kind. Candidates run without the party mechanism all the time.

My understanding is they are funneling the joint RNC / Romney 'victory fund' into it.

And that's exactly what they're supposed to do. It's money for the Romney campaign. This isn't all that unusual. Many candidates have done this in the past.

Some places they funnel the money into the state and county parties to assist in the campaign. Other places they do what they're doing in NV. That money is specifically earmarked for the campaign, and they've rightly judged that we won't help with the Romney campaign. Just like we won't be helping with the Obama campaign.

This is why I'm attempting to use espinoge tactic against the shadow parties. When you do this you can gain considerable knowledge about this "team nevada" and then backstab when the time comes. Such as if they plan to use fake delegates then we become their fake delagates or write their press release supporting Ron Paul.
