Just saw this on Citizen Outreach's Facebook page:

The Daily Caller and Americans for Tax Reform Foundation (ATRF) today announced that the Republican Presidential Primary Debate scheduled for Sunday, July 10 will be rescheduled. Details to follow...

The RLC that was scheduled for the same weekend is still a go, however.

June 24, 2011 – The Daily Caller and Americans for Tax Reform Foundation (ATRF) today announced that the Republican Presidential Primary Debate scheduled for Sunday, July 10 will be rescheduled. The Daily Caller’s Publisher Neil Patel, and ATRF President Grover Norquist released the following statement:

“Due to scheduling conflicts and impending changes in the Republican primary field, we have decided to reschedule our debate. The Daily Caller will continue to provide our audience with the most compelling and insightful coverage of the 2012 Presidential election and the ATR Foundation will continue to engage with the primary candidates to address the critical fiscal challenges facing our country.”

So now the candidates that are going to speak at the conference will be expected to travel out to Vegas a second time for a debate that won't be televised?

Talk about horrible event planning....

Pffffffffff! They're doing this on purpose.

Actually, this helps RP to a degree. Herman Cain rose in the polls because of a single debate performance. And he's fallen because of a single debate performance. He needs these televised debates to introduce himself to as many voters as possible (Newt Gingrich too) and create impressions about him. If there's no debates up and until the one just before the straw poll, there's no chance for any game changing moments or any kind of buzz that can be generated over the next month. It's too late. That's helps those who already have the structure in place, the money and the name recognition to advance upward.

Rumor has it that Romney dropped out because he was afraid to share the stage with both liberty candidates, Gary Johnson and Ron Paul, at the same time.

Apparently if people talk about shrinking the size of government too much around Romney it causes him to bleed from the eyes.
