Exclusive: Hillary Clinton’s cozy ties to Washington’s powerful neocons have paid off with the endorsement of Robert Kagan, one of the most influential neocons. But it also should raise questions among Democrats about what kind of foreign policy a President Hillary Clinton would pursue, writes Robert Parry.

By Robert Parry

Prominent neocon Robert Kagan has endorsed Democrat Hillary Clinton for president, saying she represents the best hope for saving the United States from populist billionaire Donald Trump, who has repudiated the neoconservative cause of U.S. military interventions in line with Israel’s interests.

The neocons are being driven away from the GOP. This is a very good trend.

Yes it is.

There is healthy fracturing/regrouping of GOP and to an extent of DP taking place. Liberty forces will get easier road ahead out of chaos once swcbagger groups take out one another.

This is the chief silver-lining of Trump's candidacy, more so than anything that will likely come about if he actually becomes president.

Of course, you overlook the obvious benefit to America (and the world); That the aforementioned group of warmongering parasites will have their tentacles removed from US foreign policy. That's a pretty big silver lining in my opinion.

Perhaps, but they aren't the only group that has a problem with warmongering. There is a tendency to associate warmongering exclusively with Neocons, which is not necessarily true. Furthermore, if they re-establish themselves in the Democratic Party, they could probably reassert themselves as well. This may well be a victory, but I'm not going to start dancing the jig until after most Neocon thinkers go the way of Ted Kennedy.
