NeoCon [Girl] Supports Ron Paul

FreedomWorks is a pro-economic freedom group. "Personal liberty" in the sense you mean it, is not in FreedomWorks' mission statement.

Ron Paul: "Personal Liberty, Foreign Policy, & Economic Liberty Is 1 Package"!

So do you also expect that other groups with focused mission statements, like Gun Owners of America or antiwar.com, would not have Ron Paul supporters in their ranks?

Exactly. NORML must be a bunch of warmongers because they take no position on foreign policy. They're certainly all socialists too, since they aren't fighting to reduce government spending.

I've heard Dick Armey wax poetic about Austrian Economics. That gives Freedomworks some clout in my book.

Yeah, he's a former econ professor, and a long-time avowed fan of Mises and Hayek. He's also outspokenly repudiated his vote for the Iraq War, and did so before it could have been considered politically expedient. He has his problems, but we need to build bridges. And if we can't even do that with Freedomworks, then we might as well forget it.

Yes yes, I don't trust DA, but my original post about FW was really sarcasm largely in jest.

Can FW endorse anyone?

Julie, get single already!!

Republicans aren't big on divorce.

As for FW, Ron Paul has said that he considers Dick Armey an ally. That's going to carry far more weight than an endorsement from Matt or any of the self-mutilating libertarians that post here.

They definitely can, and have, endorsed politicians. I don't know if they'll endorse a presidential candidate. But who knows, if it came down to Ron Paul being the last one standing carrying the tea party mantle versus Romney, I could see them endorsing RP.
