Hello,

This is for my very smart and experienced political liberty brethren! My best friend who, to my suprise (sort of A political most his life), after voting for Paul in Snohomish County (WA state) he became a delegate. However, just today he called me furious and asked him whats wrong... His reply:"I was just given a letter from the Snohomish GOP saying I am being discounted and kicked off the delegate spot because I do not qualify, because I am *not registered to vote*..." He went on to tell me the alternate delegate was a Romney supporter... This is all looking WAAAAY fishy, because my best friend said just after he got the letter he was 100% FULLY registered to vote and was easily verifiable via the online status website.... Is this shenanigans? Can he fight this with the truth? WHAT CAN HE DO?! This is serious!

Thank you for you help!

Indra

what legislative district?..i'm in snohomish county legislative district 39. Let me know here. I'm also PCO in my precinct.

It's pretty simple. They are saying he wasn't registered so all you need to do is have him call his county clerk and ask when he was officially registered to vote. If the county clerk has proof that he was officially registered by at least the day before, then that's all the proof he needs.

If its not true and the records our lost he needs to take it to court to prove a point and get it out there. This should not cost as much as it sounds.

and if he takes it to court then let us know so we can make it spread around a bit.

Sounds like they are testing our resilience. Don't let them win. Hurdle the obstacles when they present them. Thanks for fighting back!!!!

still need to report this to our RP co-ordinator. We have a RP delegate meeting for our district THIS friday night. If i have some details, i can bring it up at the meeting.

edit...i'll bring it up either way. This needs to get out.

This. And also sue for the attempt to disenfranchise.

how many weeks/months will a court action take?...if they decide to even entertain it?

What this person needs to do now is go to the Snohomish GOP office in Marysville and show them his voter registration card. If he needs a new one because..lost, or destroyed, he can get a new one at the County Auditors Office, County Courthouse in downtown Everett.

Do that 1st. Go from there.

OK, just got off the phone with him. He is in district 1, Minor precinct... The strange thing he told me is the following (note, it is clear that he is registered to vote and has been for several years... and thats all the GOP says he was disqualified for): He said the precinct given to him on the website is different than the one given to him when he went to the caucus. At the caucus, he gave his name and address (with ID) and they told him where to go. He confirmed this by a big map they had, but again, its different than what is stated as his precinct on the WA GOP caucus locator website. Hopefully, this is not what disqualified him because thats not fair and not his fault.

Who should he call? The GOP county clerk, you say?

Indra

PS He doesnt mind if I give out his name and info, but preferably in private message.

I too am a delegate and I havent even been notified by someone to tell me when and where... I was told by a few people it is this weekend, no? I am in King County, Bothell WA.

bump....
Copy of the letter (censored personal information) in OP would be nice.
Date when he registered republican.
Date when he signed to be delegate.
Other facts.
It would be easier ,)

OK, sorry for the delay. It got past my bed time last night. PM on the way.

Too bad he lost his voter reg, card, It tells what precinct, leg. district, and cong. district. County Auditor has his info at the Everett Courthouse on Rockefeller Ave. next to the Comcast Event Center.

So basically he went to the wrong precinct caucus. Is the address on his ID the same as his registered address?
