Aloha,

Sorry I ain't around much. I miss the place, am very busy.

Currently fighting The City of Concord, NH, who wants to spend your tax dollars to buy themselves a Ballistic Engineered Armored Response Counter Attack Truck that they certainly do not need, and cannot afford.

We've started a ground game and have gotten some traction, now we want to turn up the heat.

I know a few of you guys did a lot of work with FB ads during the 2012 run. We've created a website and an online petition and we want to target Concord residents to drive them to our site.

AND, we don't have any money to do it :toady:

Am humbly asking if some people here want to self organize and help us out?

We are focusing on fiscal issues. Here is a pdf that a group is working to get onto cable access...

We may beat this thing. I just raised $400 (half from Campaign for Liberty :D) and bought Radley Balko's new book to present to the officials making the decision. They arrived as I'm writing this

He even agreed to write a personal note inside but his schedule and ours made the shipping too close for comfort...

We are pushing hard here on the ground. I hope people want to help

Onward!

love the signs and the books (as long as they are given as an aside) are just icing on the cake. good luck Concord. I hope you will provide an example of how to shame these folks such that liberty is the only acceptable stance. (we did it locally on traffic cams).

Michael,
I believe I saw one of your FB status updates not long ago showing flyers you were passing out. Just an idea but you might be able to save some cash and get more people involved by posting the text and images here and letting volunteers from around the country print out x number of copies (say - 100 copies per pledge) and mail them to a central location so your volunteers on the ground can pass them out? Just an idea and whatever else you need just please post it here.

EDIT: I just saw the PDF... Would you like to have some folks print some copies and send them your way to pass out?

note: i've started running an ad. if you don't feel comfortable starting your own PM me and i will send you a paypal link to piggyback on mine

Do signers of the petition have to be Concord residents only, or can they be from the surrounding area which would be "serviced" by the vehicle, including Plymouth State?

Concord officials have stated they do not care about signers outside of Concord so we are focusing on residents with this particular effort. I will raise your question though, as it will affect them as well, (incl liability for lawsuits). Thanks

If you want to reach most possible amount of people with minimum resources:

1.
http://marketmesuite.com/
It is free.

Really helpfull feature for you will be: Geo-targeting- Identify and send post, message or tweet to people in specific location (City of Concord) on Facebook, Twitter etc.
It got a lot of other options: Scheduled Messages,RSS Feeds,
It is free. You and others involved can reach every single person that got facebook, twitter and other social media account in targeted area and not just few like you do via flyers.

I discovered it during money-bomb promotions and now I am using it whenever I need marketing and promotion for any project I have.

2.There are some alternatives that you can google: Use Tweet Adder and SocialOomph to Auto-Tweet

*If this post was helpful dont +rep me.... tell me a joke.:D

@Shem - :D

@Cleaner - We really dont have the time or resources to do a full fledged Soc Media presence at this point. We have FB groups for organizing and we make events, but we don't have people to build a maintain multiple presences. For now the website will have to do... We also do not have an organization to collect "donations", for now people have been sending "gifts" to my paypal, my mailbox, and handing them to us. If anyone wants to help, send me a PM. I'm a couple hundred out of pocket at this point (which I dont really care about), but there is more we could do with radio/print/etc ads, as well as ongoing printing/operational costs...

@Barrex. Thanks, I'm gonna pass that on and see who we can get to work that angle. Sorry for my lack of humor but I just got back from the schoolboard meeting, (where they declined to send a letter of support :) A small win for us .)

On another front, the NH Taxpayers Union has agreed to run our Cable Access ad :D

Thanks again for eveyones input and help.

Pressing On!

Patriots will be happy to know that the Concord, New Hampshire School Board has denied the request of Police Chief John Duval to issue a letter of endorsement for a new $260,000 Homeland Security BearCat (Ballistic Engineered Armored Response Counter Attack Tank) for the City. Four (4) of the School Board voting members present voted NOT to send the letter, as opposed to the two (2) who supported the motion. [Note: the mayor, who signed off on the DHS grant application has a wife who sits on the Board; she was conveniently absent for this vote].

City Councilors will decide on September 9th whether to accept the grant funding.

In the meantime, everyone is encouraged to phone call / email the City Councilors listed here. If you are a City of Concord resident, even better, be sure include your address in the call/email. If you're a resident of one of the "Central NH Special Operations Unit" communities: Allenstown, Ashland, Boscawen, Bradford, Chichester, Concord, Enfield, Groton, Hanover, Haverhill, Hebron, Lincoln, Merrimack County Sheriff’s Office, Pembroke, Pittsfield, Plymouth State University, Sugar Hill, Sutton, Tilton, Waterville Valley the be sure to mention that too.

If you're not a residents of any of those towns and would like to otherwise help please join us this at Tandy's Top Shelf (1 Eagle Square, Concord, NH) this Satuday, August 31 at 10AM to collect signatures. We'll supply the petition and walk lists. Prizes for the most signatures include 1) two tickets to 2014 Free State Projet Liberty Forum [over a $200 value]; 2) Five ounces of silver; 3) Two ounces of silver. To get petition forms, maps, and suggested events to target, please visit www.NoMoreBEARCATS.com. The Oath Keepers national organization has offered silver coins and tshirts to the top signature gatherers.

Finally, we're running facebook ads targeting concord residents and directing them to the petition at www.NoMoreBEARCATS.com. Start your own facebook ads! Tell facebook you don't want to spend more than $x / day between now and Sept 7 (hearing is on the 9th)... where x = 1, 5, 10, 25, etc. If you're not comfortable sending facebook money please PM me and i'll send you my paypal address for you to donate.

In peace and liberty,

Shem

RPH & Shem, your Oath Keepers care package is in the mail! In addition to the coins I added 12 shirts and 2 hats... I added the hats as a gift for each of you and you can give away the shirts in any way you see fit. Great work on this project, I hope this helps the cause.

For those that want to support OK, please visit Oath Keepers Gear (http://www.oathkeepersgear.net/). For all RPF members... if you place "I support Ron Paul Forums" as a noted in the comment section when placing an order, I will include a free sticker combo pack ($8.00 value). Thanks to everyone here that supports Oath Keepers... with a special shout out to RPH, Shem and AF - Thanks for all you do!
