I need a YouTube clip that has Paul either declaring his faith or favoring Creationism As soon as possible or I'll lose all the headway I've made with 250ish people.

Statement of Faith
By Ron Paul

We live in times of great uncertainty when men of faith must stand up for our values and our traditions lest they be washed away in a sea of fear and relativism. As you likely know, I am running for President of the United States, and I am asking for your support.

I have never been one who is comfortable talking about my faith in the political arena. In fact, the pandering that typically occurs in the election season I find to be distasteful. But for those who have asked, I freely confess that Jesus Christ is my personal Savior, and that I seek His guidance in all that I do. I know, as you do, that our freedoms come not from man, but from God. My record of public service reflects my reverence for the Natural Rights with which we have been endowed by a loving Creator.

I have worked tirelessly to defend and restore those rights for all Americans, born and unborn alike. The right of an innocent, unborn child to life is at the heart of the American ideal of liberty. My professional and legislative record demonstrates my strong commitment to this pro-life principle.

In 40 years of medical practice, I never once considered performing an abortion, nor did I ever find abortion necessary to save the life of a pregnant woman. In Congress, I have authored legislation that seeks to define life as beginning at conception, H.R. 1094. I am also the prime sponsor of H.R. 300, which would negate the effect of Roe v Wade by removing the ability of federal courts to interfere with state legislation to protect life. This is a practical, direct approach to ending federal court tyranny which threatens our constitutional republic and has caused the deaths of 45 million of the unborn. I have also authored H.R. 1095, which prevents federal funds to be used for so-called “population control.” Many talk about being pro-life. I have taken and will continue to advocate direct action to restore protection for the unborn.

I have also acted to protect the lives of Americans by my adherence to the doctrine of “just war.” This doctrine, as articulated by Augustine, suggested that war must only be waged as a last resort--- for a discernible moral and public good, with the right intentions, vetted through established legal authorities (a constitutionally required declaration of the Congress), and with a likely probability of success.

It has been and remains my firm belief that the current United Nations-mandated, no-win police action in Iraq fails to meet the high moral threshold required to wage just war. That is why I have offered moral and practical opposition to the invasion, occupation and social engineering police exercise now underway in Iraq. It is my belief, borne out by five years of abject failure and tens of thousands of lost lives, that the Iraq operation has been a dangerous diversion from the rightful and appropriate focus of our efforts to bring to justice to the jihadists that have attacked us and seek still to undermine our nation, our values, and our way of life.

I opposed giving the president power to wage unlimited and unchecked aggression, However, I did vote to support the use of force in Afghanistan. I also authored H.R. 3076, the September 11 Marque and Reprisal Act of 2001. A letter of marque and reprisal is a constitutional tool specifically designed to give the president the authority to respond with appropriate force to those non-state actors who wage aggression against the United States while limiting his authority to only those responsible for the atrocities of that day. Such a limited authorization is consistent with the doctrine of just war and the practical aim of keeping Americans safe while minimizing the costs in blood and treasure of waging such an operation.

On September 17, 2001, I stated on the house floor that “…striking out at six or eight or even ten different countries could well expand this war of which we wanted no part. Without defining the enemy there is no way to know our precise goal or to know when the war is over. Inadvertently more casual acceptance of civilian deaths as part of this war I'm certain will prolong the agony and increase the chances of even more American casualties. We must guard against this if at all possible.” I’m sorry to say that history has proven this to be true.

I am running for president to restore the rule of law and to stand up for our divinely inspired Constitution. I have never voted for legislation that is not specifically authorized by the Constitution. As president, I will never sign a piece of legislation, nor use the power of the executive, in a manner inconsistent with the limitations that the founders envisioned.

Many have given up on America as an exemplar for the world, as a model of freedom, self-government, and self-control. I have not. There is hope for America. I ask you to join me, and to be a part of it.

Sincerely,

Ron Paul

The War on Religion
As we celebrate another Yuletide season, it’s hard not to notice that Christmas in America simply doesn’t feel the same anymore. Although an overwhelming majority of Americans celebrate Christmas, and those who don’t celebrate it overwhelmingly accept and respect our nation’s Christmas traditions, a certain shared public sentiment slowly has disappeared. The Christmas spirit, marked by a wonderful feeling of goodwill among men, is in danger of being lost in the ongoing war against religion.

Through perverse court decisions and years of cultural indoctrination, the elitist, secular Left has managed to convince many in our nation that religion must be driven from public view. The justification is always that someone, somewhere, might possibly be offended or feel uncomfortable living in the midst of a largely Christian society, so all must yield to the fragile sensibilities of the few. The ultimate goal of the anti-religious elites is to transform America into a completely secular nation, a nation that is legally and culturally biased against Christianity.

This growing bias explains why many of our wonderful Christmas traditions have been lost. Christmas pageants and plays, including Handel’s Messiah, have been banned from schools and community halls. Nativity scenes have been ordered removed from town squares, and even criticized as offensive when placed on private church lawns. Office Christmas parties have become taboo, replaced by colorless seasonal parties to ensure no employees feel threatened by a “hostile environment.” Even wholly non-religious decorations featuring Santa Claus, snowmen, and the like have been called into question as Christmas symbols that might cause discomfort. Earlier this month, firemen near Chicago reluctantly removed Christmas decorations from their firehouse after a complaint by some embittered busybody. Most noticeably, however, the once commonplace refrain of “Merry Christmas” has been replaced by the vague, ubiquitous “Happy Holidays.” But what holiday? Is Christmas some kind of secret, a word that cannot be uttered in public? Why have we allowed the secularists to intimidate us into downplaying our most cherished and meaningful Christian celebration?

The notion of a rigid separation between church and state has no basis in either the text of the Constitution or the writings of our Founding Fathers. On the contrary, our Founders’ political views were strongly informed by their religious beliefs. Certainly the drafters of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, both replete with references to God, would be aghast at the federal government’s hostility to religion. The establishment clause of the First Amendment was simply intended to forbid the creation of an official state church like the Church of England, not to drive religion out of public life.

The Founding Fathers envisioned a robustly Christian yet religiously tolerant America, with churches serving as vital institutions that would eclipse the state in importance. Throughout our nation’s history, churches have done what no government can ever do, namely teach morality and civility. Moral and civil individuals are largely governed by their own sense of right and wrong, and hence have little need for external government. This is the real reason the collectivist Left hates religion: Churches as institutions compete with the state for the people’s allegiance, and many devout people put their faith in God before their faith in the state. Knowing this, the secularists wage an ongoing war against religion, chipping away bit by bit at our nation’s Christian heritage. Christmas itself may soon be a casualty of that war.

- Ron Paul

Melbo. There was a video on YouTube of Ron Paul speaking on the Congressional House floor about the Christian Doctrine of Just War. It blew me away and almost turned me into a Christian right then and there! I thought it was awesome! I would go find it for you but I am on dial up and YouTube locks my comp up. Google "Ron Paul Just War Christian" and it should come up.

Someone should make a Christian-themed, viral video, for Dr. Paul, using this song as the soundtrack: Voice of Truth

"Follow the Words of Paul!"

At the recent CNN/YouTube Republican debate, a question was asked of the candidates:

Would Jesus use the death penalty?

Mike Huckabee cleverly dodged the question by stating that Jesus is not a politician.

After all Huckabee, who does support the death penalty, is a Baptist minister who ceaselessly touts his devotion to Jesus’ teachings.

Yet any Christian who has bothered to read any of Jesus’ word would realize that Jesus would not support the death penalty.

I am sure we are all glad, as Huckabee pointed out, that Jesus is not a politician because chicken-hawks, such as Huckabee,
probably would not vote for him.

To prove this point I decided to check my Bible for Jesus’ views on war, and aggression.

Everyone knows what I found,
so I will not bore readers with passages of scripture proving unequivocally that Jesus was against aggressive warfare and very pro-peace.

Clearly he would be a cut-and-run candidate unworthy of any of the neocon Republican establishment’s support.

However, I found something else that was very interesting.
It was in the Apostle Paul’s second letter to the Corinthians from the New Living Translation.

Paul wrote that "We are human, but we don’t wage war as humans do. We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons,
to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments."
2 Cor.10:3–4.

Does this sound like something Huckabee would endorse?

Does it sound like something any of the Republican candidates would endorse? The only one I can think of is a man also named Paul. Ron Paul. Here are some quotes from Ron Paul.

"Setting a good example is a far better way to spread ideals than through force of arms."

"Logic tells us that we can make a better world in a much easier way than causing wars."

"We need to talk to people, trade with people, not go to war with them."

We should take the advice of both Pauls when dealing with foreign policy. We should set a good example at home, and spread our ideals of freedom through peaceful means, not bombs falling from the sky. None of the other Republican candidates endorse this view.

Even Huckabee who, like President Bush, wears his faith on his sleeve to make sure everyone knows that he is a Christian.

The Apostle Paul mentioned this type of men in his letter as well. He wrote "Oh don’t worry; we wouldn’t dare say that we are as wonderful as these other men who tell you how important they are!

But they are only comparing themselves with each other, using themselves as the standard measurement. How ignorant!" 2 Cor. 10:12.

At the debate Huckabee stated that the Bible was the living Word of God.

Maybe its time he re-read God’s Word.

"Ron Paul On The Sanctity Of Life"

From: http://www.christiansforronpaul.com/media.htm

Ron Paul speaks about the sanctity of life.

“The right of an innocent, unborn child to life is at the heart of the American ideals of liberty.

My professional and legislative record demonstrates my strong commitment to this pro-life principle.” – Ron Paul

While many candidates talk about being pro-life, Ron Paul has taken direct action to restore protection of the unborn.

As a Congressman Ron Paul

• authored legislation HR 1094 that seeks to define life as beginning at conception.

• sponsored HR 300, which would negate the effect of Roe v Wade by removing the ability of federal courts to interfere with state legislation to protect life.

This is a practical, direct approach to ending federal court tyranny, which threatens our constitutional republic and has caused the deaths of 45 million of the unborn.

As an OB/GYN doctor, Ron Paul never once considered performing an abortion, nor did he ever find abortion necessary to save the life of a pregnant woman.

“Pro-Lifers should support Ron Paul for president.”

Ok, that Rod Parsley sermon is GENIUS.
I don't even like him, but...
I know slews of people who will watch him... I'm halfway through it now and... wow... thanks for that link. This is the stuff we should be teaching in church.

Thanks all!

I sent this out to a few of the busier ones who like to email

*******,

****** just shared that Huckabee clip with me. I liked Huckabee until he started to use Jesus as his campaign. To me, there is a difference in sharing ones Faith and wearing it on the sleeve like a Pharisee. I think Huckabee is strategically using God to advance his own political desires and I truly believe that Jesus wouldn't approve of his name being used for political expediency. I could be wrong but watching his sound bytes on God seems staged, calculated and fake.

I grabbed a few clips I'd like to share with you when you get a chance. I like Ron Paul and I find his use of Faith to be humble and Christ-like. If you have 15-20 minutes, check these out. I've personally decided to stand up for what I feel is right and just. I won't be voting for the 'lessor of two evils anymore'.
