NC Liberty/Constitutional Candidates for the 2012 Elections

Bumping with updates made to earlier posts. Also, Mike Causey, if you see this thread, please post and introduce yourself! :) I'll change my list, and someone should add you to the vetted Liberty candidates list.

Mozo is correct; Killian has shown himself to be open-minded, and after his tour in Iraq, publicly called for an end to that war and said we should not be over there.

Strangely enough, though, his campaign sent out an email today touting an endorsement by John McCain. That makes him a very hard sell in Liberty circles.

AT the debate last night Killian said he'd raise the debt ceiling "for national security". Such hollow demagoguery disqualifies him in my eyes. Based on the coverage I've seen I think RP supporters should take their chances with Steinberg.

Please take a moment to learn more about my campaign for NC Superintendent of Public Instruction. I can be found on facebook at Elect Richard Alexander Superintendent NC Dept of Public Instruction.

Thank you,

Rick

I expect the 9th district runoff to be between Pendergaph and Pittenger. The former has countywide name recognition and Sue Myrick's endorsement. The latter is running the most robust advertising campaign.

Removed Eric Heath Smith from the list who is running for the Rockingham County Commissioner. Apparently, it turns out that he is an Establishment mole pretending to be a Paul supporter.

I know Eric. He was in the Libertarian Party for some time. I haven't seen him in years though. I can't believe he's what you say he is. What evidence do you have of this?

Okay, in all seriousness, I first met Eric H. Smith back in 2008. He was an out-and-proud Ron Paul supporter at that time. If he's an establishment plant, he's the most patient establishment plant I've ever heard of.

Nice! I'll be sure to vote for Wright instead of McCrory (whose name has been mud ever since the arena controversy a few years back).

I'm still heartbroken that no Ron Paul Republican has yet decided to vie for the U.S. House seat Sue Myrick is abandoning in NC-9. This seat is ripe for the picking!!!

House 9 house 9 house 9.....

Isn't Ric Killian running for US House in CD 9?

He actually helped a lot with NC Firearms Freedom, and is very sympathetic to our platform.

Don't like that he was endorsed by McCain, but he supports withdrawing from Afghanistan, heckuva thing for an Army Colonel. He also likes me a lot, and is apt to at least genuinely listen to us and consider our positions.

Good thing I didn't see that, I'da had to call him out.

For Governor, I think Scott Jones is the closest to being the liberty candidate and will be voting for him. Paul Wright seems OK on some things but his support of Amendment One automatically disqualifies him for me. Scott Jones seems really good from my research - end the income tax, get rid of the vehicle property tax and yearly safety inspections, get the government out of our personal lives, etc. Definitely worth checking out.
