GASTONIA, N.C. -- A Gastonia mother says her son was suspended for calling a teacher "cute.”

Chiquita Lockett said her 9-year-old son, Emanyea, spent the last two days at home.

Lockett said the principal of Brookside Elementary called her Wednesday to say the incident was a form of “sexual harassment.”

Emanyea told Eyewitness News a substitute teacher overheard him tell another student a teacher was cute.

Then he was suspended.

"It's not like he went up to the woman and tried to grab her or touch her in a sexual way," Lockett said. "So why would he be suspended for two days?”

A district spokeswoman said she could not go into detail, but said Emanyea was suspended for "inappropriate behavior" after making "inappropriate statements."

The district's Code of Conduct doesn't list "inappropriate behavior," but says "disruption of school" is punishable by five days of out-of-school suspension.

Must be the teacher was butt ugly and thought the boy was making fun of her.

7-Year-Old Accused Of Possible Sexual Harassment For Kicking Boy In Groin

BOSTON (CBS) – A 7-year-old boy is being investigated by his South Boston elementary school for possible sexual harassment after kicking another boy in the crotch.

The first grader’s mother, Tasha Lynch, says she was shocked by the school’s decision.

“He’s 7 years old. He doesn’t know anything about sexual harassment,” she said.

Lynch’s son, Mark Curran, said the boy that he kicked had been bullying him on the school bus ride home from Tynan Elementary last week.

“He just all of a sudden came up to him, choked him. He wanted to take his gloves, and my son said, ‘I couldn’t breathe, so I kicked him in the testicles,’” said his mother.

Who around here would even consider subjecting their children to the public fool system?

Nasty, dirty little straight boy trying to oppress the teacher. He should be castrated! At least they better drug him up and chemically castrate him!

Looking back public education isn't that great, but I actually had a pretty good high school education. I think my school district was very resistant to the federal government and state government in general. I definitely remember them privatizing a lot of things and the bus service. I always had the luxury of getting the intelligent/thought provoking/interesting/etc... teachers for they always had those types of teachers teach the honors classes. I had a history teacher that taught us about the military industrial complex. I had great English teachers. In the one class we had extensive discussions about the role of the government and civil liberties considering we read 1984, Brave New World, and other books like that. My other English teacher had us more simply read, write, and have extensive discussions about whatever we wrote and encouraged us to write about political things. I remember there was something going on regarding a government shutdown at the time and he was like, "I hope they shut down and never come back" or something. I had a Chemistry teacher that openly talked about how much he loved Ron Paul. Every single teacher I had absolutely hated No Child Left Behind and the majority hated the Department of Education.

I know not all teachers in my highschool were like this, but all the honors class teachers actually encouraged independent thought and actually taught rather than simply sticking to whatever standards they were supposed to meet. They did the bare minimum in regards to what they were mandated to teach because of NCLB.

I guess I got lucky.

I belong in prison for thinking some of my teachers were "cute".

In the 8th grade, my math teacher was a VERY pretty and curvaceous redhead. All the guys had a habit of checking out the "scenery" whenever she would bend over a student's desk and it got so we would ask for help much much more frequently than would be expected based on the material.

One day she caught on and fled from the room in tears, never to be seen again by any of us.

Her replacement was an older lady who dressed like a Salvation Army officer, and much less attractive.

True story.

Wow she must have had serious issues. What woman doesn't want to be looked at? lol.

Good thing the teachers never knew why we hung out at the bottom of the stairwell in elem. sch. Teachers wore dresses more than they do now. 1960's
