"If they hadn't shot down the fourth plane it would've hit the dome," Stone, a Navy officer, said in his opening remarks, repeating Bin Laden's deputy's claim.

The tribunal's chief prosecutor, Col. Lawrence Morris, later explained that Stone was quoting Hamdan in evidence that will be presented at trial. Morris declined to say if the "dome" was a reference to the U.S. Capitol.

"Virtually no one knew the intended target, but the accused knew," Stone said.

United Airlines Flight 93 crashed in a field in rural Pennsylvania. U.S. officials have never stated it was shot down although rumors saying that abound to this day.

Great. So the terrorists aren't liars and the passengers on the plane aren't heroes. It also implies that my government can shoot down a plane while it can't keep 45 million Mexicans from invading across our borders. This is nothing like what I want to hear.

It wouldn't necessarily be bombs...just a few well placed containers of thermate that would cut through the steel like a hot knife through butter. Besides, have you seen the collapse of WTC7? How could anyone believe that was caused by fire?

when i was watching this whole thing unfold on the major networks that day, nbc cbs and abd all said that the plane had been shot down. the next day and there after the story was not talked about for about 3 days. then the whole crash story was played up.

There was something like a 40 minute (I dont remember the timeline exactly) gap between the Pentagon crash and the PA crash. Those jets can fly pretty damn far in 40 minutes. Flight 93 was always on the radar eventhough its transponder was turned off.

No. AA as in anti-aircraft/anti-missile batteries. The White House and Pentagon are home to many. The question is why didn't the people at the controls do their job and shoot the plane down?
