National Poll: Clinton, Sanders both top Trump

Your fevered imagination doesn't count as 'refutation.'

It's not just my imagination. History has shown early general election polls to be meaningless.

“The Doctor Is In As Carson Ties Trump In GOP Race, Quinnipiac University National Poll Finds; Carson Tops Clinton By 10 Points In General Election”

That was the headline on a press release for the Quinnipiac University poll last week. My reaction? I hoped no one spent more than two seconds thinking about anything past the semi-colon. Since 1944, general election polls around a year before Election Day — where we are now — have only been weakly predictive of the eventual result.

Which rules are you talking about, exactly? The Constitution? Or are you claiming that this poll must be inaccurate?

Oh, I remember your claim now! trump is going to defeat the establishment! That's right! We need to elect trump in the primary, that'll help us defeat the establishment in the general election. Of course! How could I possibly have been so silly to think otherwise?

The old rules that move the populace. 66% of Americans openly distrust the mainstream media. It's a whole new ballgame. Trump and his organization can communicate to voters outside the idiot box.

Hillary's poll leads don't seem to stick when it counts. Probably because her lead starts to drop sharply once her opponents start talking about her support for Iraqi war bloodshed.

In Late 2007, Obama Trailed Clinton By 26 Points

Nov 30, 2015 - According to Gallup in late 2007, Hillary Clinton held a commanding lead over Senator Obama: Gallup's 2007 national presidential polling ...

I'm not worried about it. Trump has plenty of time to make his polls great again.

Although Trumpster seems more forceful attacker than DGP, he should not be too mean to Hillary like he was to Cruz, Carson, Rubio.

Gunny, trump supporters don't just imagine things! Remember, they know everything about winning an election. YOU, of all people, couldn't possibly know anything about winning an election. YOU, of all people, couldn't possibly understand more than the trump supporters do about the most strategic ways to advance the cause of Liberty. And just look at your activism bio! Why, we're just children compared to these trump supporters! Are you forgetting that trump needs to win this primary so we can have an anti-establishment candidate in the White House next year? Just think, we could even be popular around here, right on Ron Paul Forums, all we'd have to do is switch our support to trump!

Yeah, wishful thinkers have been saying stuff like that since 2007.

I know right?

Trump supporters live in a bubble if they think he'll do well in an general election. He does way worse than Rubio and Cruz against the Democrats. The worst part is that there isn't much he can do to change that since he already has high name recognition and everyone knows him as the candidates who hates Mexicans and wants to deport them.

Cruz and Rubio could never win a PA, Ohio, Mass or Michigan. The Trump factor brings states into play never thought possible. Trump is a malleable candidate due to his NYC roots. The TPTB can keep fabricating all this KKK hysterics, but it's not going to stick. One minute, he's a NYC liberal who embodies crummy NY values and then the next he's a white supremacist? It does not compute.

Trump has never gone up against a Democrat. He is sure to moderate his tone in the general election fight.

Tonight's presentation was very revealing. He went out of his way to suggest that Hillary is a key cog in the system and is incapable of fixing it. Trump's biggest strength in the coming election is his outsider status. He will be given more rope by the public than a lifelong politician.

See? All trump has to do is to flip-flop, and tell people what they want to hear! He'll be able to win in a national general election, just like romney did! Forget principles, it's more important to have a candidate that is malleable and able to change positions easily. That's what really gets a candidate elected, and somehow has strategic value to advancing the cause of Liberty, and trump supporters are smart enough to know this. After all, this is Ron Paul forums, so we better support trump, because everyone knows that trump supporters are much smarter than people who would vote for Rand Paul.
