Why shouldn't they feel invincible?

They know how to acquire and use power to get what they want.

That does indeed take "nerve".

That is why they have gotten as far as they have.

That is why they will go even further.

That is, in short, why they are winning.

By contrast, their opponents have (so far) been pretty spineless.

Trump needs certain things in the bill, like money for the deportations, and he knows a bill the hawks would want would not pass because of the rest of Congress.

Complete and total BS! There's plenty of money for deportations already - just need a little reallocation of priorities. And why isn't Trump pressuring the "rest of Congress" with primary challenges and using his leverage for spending cuts?!

Here's a hint. Because he, like you, is full of shit.
 
Florida AG and several sheriffs had a press conference today. Direct quote, if protesters break the law, we will kill you graveyard dead. Also DeSantis said the other day you are allowed to run over protesters with your car if they threaten you. One sherrif said we will not allow Florida to become Califormia.
 
Trump hasn't been nearly as aggressive on these riots as he should be. Crush them before they spread. He was weak on riots in 2020. Now is the time to make up for it. People rightly deserve to feel safe in their own country.
