I think the more effective strategy here would be to pull out the guard troops, pull out the police, drop off pallets of blunt instruments, barricade the exits, and let them have at it.

Fly camera drones over the city and broadcast to America what it looks like.

California wants to project strength and keep saying they didnt need any help.

They don't have to ask for assistance California is part of the United States.

The Federal government is obliged to help California when they are in need.

But then, your home is, presumably, just one small parcel of land that's negligible in size compared with the rest of the USA, which is not your home, and includes vast swaths of land where unlimited browns from every country are welcome, and in many cases where they themselves are rightful owners of their own homes,, which they have as much say over as you have over yours.

And what Trump said at the debates was a lie and you know it. Meanwhile he's proving you to be a sychophant. I now know that when you complain about illegal immigrants you don't really mean it because he doesn't really mean it. Illegal immigrants can be "remigrated" (whatever the hell that's supposed to mean) while hard working LEGAL immigrants hear on temporary protected status are being deported unless they are white racists.
