So do I. I'm VERY picky with sci fi movies and series. Firefly is a cross between han solo meets captain kirk meets dystopian planetary system and pirate life.

i've watched the entirety of stargate sg-1, stargate atlantis, stargate sgu, star trek next generation, star trek deep space nine, star trek voyager, seen all the movies between the two. stargate sg-1 early seaons are the best, star trek deep space nine minus the last season is second best.

Star Wars is fantasy, not sci-fi.

I'd say it's a mix between the two. It has advanced technology and science but is also fantasy and un-realistic.
