Good stuff, whether you agree or disagree with Nader -- that's free speech. Shepherd Smith's jaws just dropped dead when Nader accused him of bullying. LOL

FURTHERMORE.....

Taking the State wherever found, striking into its history at any point, one sees no way to differentiate the activities of its founders, administrators and beneficiaries from those of a professional-criminal class. -Albert Jay Nock

..in light of this. I think, in terms of name-calling...and in loving memory of Bush 43...

I think we should keep all options on the table. :D

W00T! - You ROCK Ralph! - keep kickin that corporate booty!

That makes me really happy that I voted for him and helped with his GOTV effort!

Even though I get the Uncle Tom reference, as it applies to the corporate interests Obama serves, who no doubt, are predominantly white. I prefer to just think of Obama as a two-faced, lying, fascist, boot-licking, fuck-head. A piece of elitist, new world order, eugenicist, shit-stick if you will.

But I get it, Nader wanted to make a quip about Uncle Sam vs. Uncle Tom. ha ha and stuff.

I think your description is even worse than Naders.....but I like it. :D

I may disagree with Nader as a socialist...but there's no doubt he means what he says and has little room for compromise. I respect him.. What he said is true.

who is uncle tom? Why is this so controversial?

Uncle Tom is a pejorative for a black person who is perceived by others as behaving in a subservient manner to White American authority figures, or as seeking ingratiation with them by way of unnecessary accommodation.

This definaition fits the question posed by Nadar...and in a country that is more facist than democratic-republic...I think it is a fair question.

Nader has every right to say what he did but its ignorant. Before everyone in here starts posting what they think and voting in this stupid poll you might actually want to brush up on your history and realize where the expression came from. There is no reason Nader had to drag race into what he said. He just used the term "Uncle Tom" to have a nice quick sound bite to get him attention.

Treat people as individuals there is no need to drag terms used to insult slaves when talking about anyone.

Shepard Smith doesn't even deserve to have Ralph Nader speak to his sorry white ass.

Ralph's Uncle Tom reference is relevant since the entire media is playing the race card. Why are we hearing that Obama is the "first black president" when he is half white and sorta half black? It would make as much logical and factual sense for the media to announce: "Americans elect yet another white man for president." But he looks kinda black so I guess that's the bottom line.

I didn't vote for Obama because his policies suck and he's a Trilateral Commission stooge. I could friggin care less what color he is. Maybe Jesse Jackson was crying because out of all of the amazing black people in the U.S. that would make fine presidents, we elected a shallow corporate shill and Trilateral commission yes man.

But if this gives people of color pride and an inspiration to become more politically involved then perhaps this is one good thing that can come out of this presidency. I'm just afraid that he will let them down terribly.

I agree with you but it's funny how the media has been touting "first black president evah! OMG!! AFRICAN AMERICAN!!" Both Nader and Media is at fault here. But I like Nader's slap to Sheppard. :)

Interesting to See Nader squirm. He knows he picked the wrong words, arrogant to not want to admit it.

He just used the term "Uncle Tom" to have a nice quick sound bite to get him attention.

And how else do you presume he could get any attention?

I admire Nader immensely for what he did. It was not racially motivated at all, he just wanted to get attention and be the one voice in the mainstream media speaking out against Obama.

"Ralph Nader, the man who once told an audience that what we need is "somekind of communism" is also bankrolled by the Rockefeller network in his attempt to destroy the free enterprise system. Among the groups financing the Caped Crusader are the ubiquitous Ford Foundation and the Field Foundation, both CFR interlocked. Nader is not really fighting the Establishment. He works for it. According to a Business Week article reprinted in the Congressional Record of March 10, 1971, John D. Rockefeller IV is even an advisor to Nader."

Would explain them Ill placed comment... just setting the 'do not go there Zone' for any one wishing to challenge the "One".

Apparently, FOX News got very upset about what Nader said.

I'm sure it'll get more coverage tomorrow.

Did Nader phrase it like that just to get attention?

And what kind of "uncle" will Obama be as president? Please watch the video before voting in the poll.

Here's the quote:
"To put it very simply, he is our first African-American president - or he will be. And we wish him well. But his choice, basically, is whether he's going to be Uncle Sam for the people of this country, or Uncle Tom for the giant corporations."

It's a pathetic thing for Nader to say. Here we are trying to put race behind us, but Nader is making an issue out of it by using the racism-charged "Uncle Tom" terminology.

With a comment like that Nader can be liked back to Paul for all media purposes - The question will be asked in the future to Ron as a slap down question; mark it on the calender.

So Nader is a New World Order operative?

I hope Ron Paul isn't. Maybe RP is a Rockefeller plant meant to collect and identify anti-globalists. Maybe he turned over his donor list to Homeland Security.
