As the sign will be on a Ron Paul supporters private property what type of trouble could he get into? Not sure I've heared of any issues with signs on your own property before.

Besides, it would take the local beaurocracy months to file the necessary paperwork to take it down

Oh you'd be surprised! Have a look at this link, where a local Ron Paul supporter from NJ got cited for displaying Ron Paul signs on his private property:

So I say definitely check into the local town ordinance about signage...

They will win that one... Now I can see a local home owners association making rules saying no one can have political signs in their yards, but still dunno how that would fly.

Edit: Although do to the size, the local law may require inspection and a building permit. No idea though, you should look into that!
