My letter to the editor got published!

I have to agree with some of the people here, that is one strong letter to sway republican voters. Great Job getting it published!

Great job!

Yesterday I called into KFYI, a Clear Channel talk radio station here in Phoenix. The host was former Congressman J.D. Hayworth. After giving him my observations I asked if he thinks the Republican party is ready to move away from Neocons and back towards conservatives. His answer of sorts told me all I need to know.

Most Republicans these days don't see Ron Paul as a good Republican beause of the war. They think they must stand by the war because liberals want to "cut and run" and they will not consider the "cowards" way of the liberals.

Since foriegn policy is the big hurdle, we must impress upon Republicans that Ron Paul is in fact STRONG on national defense. We must help them understand that Ron Paul will be strong in defending this nation but the difference is he will not spend our money or soldiers lives for the national security of Isreal or any other nation other that the U.S.

Ron Paul will not stand idly by if our nation is under threat and he will not be fooled into deploying troops for mistakes like Iraq.

Fantastic, fantastic letter!

For anyone who plans to use it for their local paper, I suggest using this punctuation for the quote from Ron Paul:

"Let me get this straight: We borrow $10 billion from China, give it to Musharaf, a military dictator who overthrew an elected official, [then] we lose lives fighting a war [pause] to spread Democracy [pause] in Iraq? What's going on here!?”

Punctuating it that way and including the pauses helps reproduce in print how he really said it.

Fine Job

Excellent letter. I'm sure there are some "Oldsmobile Republicans" out there in your town tonight who are thinking hard about the points you made.

You are a patriot and you should be proud.

We should all send this letter to the editor of our local papers..... everyone!

Maybe will some small editing (gender, personal history, etc.).

I am....... to The Oregonian and the Statesmen Journal.

I got interviewed in New Smyrna by the Daytona newspaper. The article will be published on Friday. I hope it turns out well. The reporter seemed pretty fair... but then again I know how that can go. I'll post the link tomorrow.

Nothing was in the paper today... the reporter even called me back to ask more questions. Maybe I was too articulate for his editor. They were also doing an interview with Kuchinich supporters. I hope the story and my editorial were so good they want to run it on Sunday...or his editor won't allow a friendly RP story.
