Hire the best teachers, not bodies to fill a quota
Wilkes-Barre NAACP President Ron Felton’s call for the hiring of more minority teachers in the Wilkes-Barre Area School District is both discriminatory and ludicrous.
I want the best qualified people teaching my children, not someone there to fulfill a racial hiring quota. A diverse teaching population does not benefit students, good teachers do.
Mr. Felton’s attempt to browbeat the Wilkes-Barre Area School District will not go unopposed.
