they need to be gone. +1 rep to mary
Absolutely! Previous liberty candidate Harry Browne had the idea of demolishing the IRS building (in a glorious media event, I'm sure) and then selling off small collectible pieces of the debris as was done with the Berlin Wall. I like that. I'm sure a President Paul could make it happen.
I am a liberal who has followed Ron Paul for 4 years. I also have kept up meticulously with the events over the last 10 years that is resulting in a slow motion collapse. Honestly guys, I get cold chills down my spine fathoming another 4 years of the Romney/Obama machine.
We don't have that long. We are in such a fragile state in this nation that if Ron Paul is not elected to orderly dismantle useless parts of the federal government and control spending in a humane fashion, we could very well have sections of out government that "seizes up", and becomes completely nonfunctional. You see this stress already happening with the IRS, VA, and INS to say the least.
I just don't understand. Everybody I know that is politically active---left and right---is fervently pro-Ron Paul. I mean, they follow his every move and are very very concerned that he gets a fair shake.
So many people are desperate right now. I mean, how could you NOT vote for Ron Paul? Guys, he is the only chance we have. The economy is NOT improving. It is just a matter of time before the full pipeline of foreclosures are completed and 10+ million people get dumped on the street after years of free rent. You think there are enough empty storefronts and office buildings now? Just wait for one or two years. You think your job is on the skids now? Just wait---because statistically the fundamentals for any recovery are not there.
I say this as a business owner. I am so freaked out at the policies here that I am "this close" to packing up the business and moving abroad--and this is is totally doable.
If a voter does not do his job and get Paul in, then he deserves exactly what he is going to get. Also, we need to watch vote counting fraud like hawks.
That would be so great!we could very well have sections of out government that "seizes up", and becomes completely nonfunctional.
Not sure why that was a reply to my question, but Mary, do you wish the IRS to be "gone?"
Guys all of these agencies need to be reformed and simplified from top to bottom. Creative destruction. We in the private, non subsidized sector have to do this or perish.
But if you add more economic stress on top of an already stressed agency, then you get nonfunctional, period. This is precisely how 3rd world bureaucracies operate.
My major, near term concern is with tax returns. I obviously havent done a national polling, but in my extended area of people, everyone I know is just kinda hanging on treading water until their returns come in. By that I mean they are paying their bills and pretty much nothing else besides, and putting off things that they need for themselves and family until the 'extra money' comes in. If that doesnt, people are going to be making very hard decisions and making them while very upset. I can only imagine what this scenario looks like on a national scale.
pretty obvious thats why, you know the answer. as ron paul will say we do not need the irs. your the one with the signed ron paul truck. you don't know ron paul's platform? . I heard him say phase them out in 2008. I figured it was common sense. go back in spending and we will not need the irs.

danke is on the same page. i guess he is testing you.
But it is necessary if we are going to have a functioning republic. If not, what will keep states from seceeding? If the US government is doing nothing for NH but sucking taxes and issuing unfunded mandates, what the hell does NH have to gain?
