My fight against my town for Ron Paul 2012 lawn signs

the heinous crime of “display of election signs prior to election date”.

Displaying them after the election date would serve no purpose. When is the election date in NJ?

The city would probably prefer to have the ordinance on the books to intimidate other people, than risk it being curtailed by a judge as a free speech violation.

I had a similar situation

My car looked so great with a Ron Paul decal but the homeowners
association of the condo where I live forced me to remove it.
Here's what my car looked like.

Fortunately I can still use the electronic LED scrolling message
device as long as I turn it off when I park at the condo.

The letter that I got said

"Please abide by these Master Association Covenants, page 11
section 7.8 which states "No sign, poster, display, billboard or
other advertising device of any kind shall be displayed to the
public view on any portion of the common area"

It's ridiculous because my car has the name of the dealer where I
bought it from and I was not accused of doing advertising for the
dealer, plenty of other cars have dealer names as well. Also there
is valet service and the guest cars are not screened for
advertisements and they are parked in the same garage....so it's
unfair that guests have freedom of speech car rights here and the
residents do not.

I suppose at least you don't have to look at service trucks and other business delivery vehicles being parked in your neighborhood.

election is not over yet. no brainer.

get a sticker that says "write in" in the event it is necessary.
