When a TV Commercial starts on CNN i have to flip it quick if my young daughter is around so she doesn't hear VIVAAAAAAAA VIAGRA! What the fuck is wrong with CNN and Fox and all the Cialis and Viagra ads? How do you explain your young kids what an Erection is! I am so close to turning CNN off as well. i am clearly just going to watch my late local tv channel news that has some nice family oriented commercials! So yeah, no wonder these 14 year old girls are having more sex then a 25 year old and expect the government to pay for their condoms, pills, and abortions!
I cannot get over that girl griping about how costs for birth control and HPV vaccines have gone up and wondering what the federal government was going to do about it.
Obviously she was expecting the same liberal answer she's been getting which is that the taxpayers should fund or subsidize it. Is that what this country has become???: That being sexually promiscious is a God given right and that government should pay to make sure that those who practice it avoid the consequences.

You nailed the majority of this generation - bless those kids who do not swallow this thinking. It is part of the dumbing down of America.
since when do only promiscious people need birth control?
Paul blew the answer - he went on about inflation and the market, but the best answer would have been legalizing importation of pharmaceuticals and the price would drop substantially!

While obviously it shouldn't be a function of taxpayers to subsidize birth control, I wouldn't classify anyone who uses birth control as a "slut."
religious dogma aside, probably 99% of the population is sexually active- while many of those are in monogamous relationships and still use birth control for obvious reasons.
There are virgins that even use birth control in some forms and married people in closed faithful relationships.
There are some lawmakers who want to BAN the availability of things such as HPV vaccine because they think it promotes "promiscuity." ( I am assuming people here have a problem with the SUBSIDIZING part, not the actual use). The message this sends is that "we want God to give you cancer as punishment" and that it is better for people to get cancer than prevent cancer at the risk of appearing permissive.
These are the same types of people who support things like the War on Drugs and have no problem if innocent people are murdered in the process. because its more important to send some Message of "morality" than save lives.
Another similar issue is the ONCDP opposition to the heroin overdose antidote and prosecution of needle exchange volunteers.
And the HPV virus causes cancer. Apparently the freedom loving libertarians think that women who have sex deserve to die horrible painful deaths.
Wow.
Approved by the FDA in June, 2006, Gardasil is being aggressively marketed to parents of pre-teen girls as young as nine as a way to “guard” against cervical cancer and genital warts caused by Human Papillomavirus (HPV) type 6, 11, 16 and 18.
The Merck campaign has been tremendously effective.
By September, Judicial Watch had an additional 1,800 reports of suspected reactions to Gardasil, bringing the adverse report total to 3,461 and 11 deaths.
