My email from Saul Anuzis

First of all, no one gives a rolling donut what Saul thinks. And, there was nothing of note at the convention for any of the "small group of activists" to tinker with unless he's referring to the passing out of the RNC shenanigans sheets. That said, this group of activists is hardly small when he got his ass handed to him back in May and denied the Nat'l committeeman position 70-30%, that's an embarrassment of epic proportions considering he was a former state chair. Plus, that race showed that the conservative grassroots base of the party was 2:1 and that's before the seating of the new precinct delegates. Also, many of the veteran delegates on our side sat home this time so the noobs could attend and see what it's like. Come our next county conventions, we're gonna stack our state delegations with an overwhelming coalition of liberty conservatives and others that will completely reshape the party leadership going forward. We'll see what Saul's emails look like then.

But - and this is key - despite losing an election, and getting booted from his chair, and backing a losing candidate for Senate, and a myriad of other fails I could list here, he's still not getting pissed off and quitting.

I don't expect him to quit since he's been a fixture in MIGOP politics since 1980 as the youngest national delegate elected that year or ever since. But, his bold move to spite us helped fuel the sentiments toward him and thus his recent smackdown in May. He's young enough to keep his name around for quite a while and that's fine since I want him to endure our future uprising and be able to remind him of the party's trajectory ever since he made his fit 5 years ago. Saul just has an ego that needs to be fed but the other down to earth people will be won over through coalition building on the issues, which is where our strong point is assuming we don't stray too far off the farm into the weeds.

Yeah, they have a lot credibility there.

The GOP would not have won a presidential election since 1988 had it not been for voting shenanigans and 9/11.

Al Gore would not have won Florida if SCOTUS had allowed to vote to go on. He would have won it if his campaign had challenged both the undervote and the overvote, but that's his campaign's fault.

And if he had carried his own home state, Florida would not have mattered.

He is still getting paid,, Openly or under the table.

The Guy is the same snake that tried to keep Ron Paul OUT of the debates. He was pushing Romney back then.

I just want to chime in about the part where you said that they want you to work their call center in support of Romney. There was a post over at DP from a guy who came up with a brilliant plan. He said that after getting a bunch of calls and letters from Romney's campaign asking him to volunteer, he finally went down to his local Romney office and signed up. He said he is now using their phones and lists to make calls and telling voters all the reasons why Romney is a liberal, a crook, a flip-flopper, and all the reasons they ought not to vote for Romney! He said the response from his calls has been positive and that the campaign staff have not caught on to his truth telling gig. Perhaps you should follow his lead on this - make your local GOP happy and feel you are following through on some bogus delegate obligation all the while helping our cause ; ).

 really that doesn't sound like a great idea to be honest.

I was disappointed that there still appears to be a small group of “activists” who want to “take over” the party and require some form of “purity” for candidates to get our party’s support. Sorry guys, that’s not the way to win elections...we all need to talk…we all need to work together.

That's pretty fucking rich coming from Saul Anuzis who tried to get Ron Paul banned from the debates in 2007! Purity test indeed!

Remember this shit?

Michigan party chairman Saul Anuzis said he will circulate a petition among Republican National Committee members to ban Paul from more debates. At a GOP candidates’ debate Tuesday night, Paul drew attacks from all sides, most forcefully from former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, when he linked the terror attacks to U.S. bombings.

..."I think he would have felt much more comfortable on the stage with the Democrats in what he said last night. And I think that he is a distraction in the Republican primary and he does not represent the base and he does not represent the party,” Anuzis said during an RNC state leadership meeting.

“Given what he said last night it was just so off the wall and out of whack that I think it was more detrimental than helpful.”

Anuzis said his petition would go to debate sponsors and broadcasters to discourage inviting Paul.

If that is true, that is awesome.
