Newton Leroy Gingrich is struggling. He has literally tanked in the polls and his Billionaire can't do a damn thing about it. Tonight, Newt will show that he is done and there is no resurrecting himself from the dead again. Newt is completely unelectable (unfavorables are 60% nation wide) and loses by 10 points to a weak President according to the latest Rasmussen.

Newt might call it quits tonight but most likely will hang on until Super Tuesday night to throw the towel in to save face.

Newt's officially done Super Tuesday night.

He will win Georgia.

Beyond that, Mississippi and Alabama vote in mid march as well, so i think he may hang on till them in the hopes of catching fire.

You have to remember, Newt has a big ego, nothing can bring this guy down, and as long as his buddy in Vegas is paying him, he's going to stay in the race.

Humility is not in his dictionary

Yea, that is definitely logical with high probability. I hope so...just a shame Santardum had to get this far, we would have had the perfect set up with Mitt and Ron going at it alone, and there is no doubt people would have been forced to take a closer look at Ron.

The advantage for Newt to stay around might not be so bad. In a brokered convention, Santorum would be too easy to throw his delegates to back Romney so he could get the VP position. Newt splits the votes in the heavy republican camp. If newt drops out, the strategy needs to change.

Yea im thinking your right after listening to Newt and this speech he might be done in approx 5 minutes.

You have to understand, the Grinch is making money doing this selling books, selling books to his campaign and then in return paying himself. Heck, i think it was just reported last week, he paid himself about $114,000 from his campaign in a shady accounting switcharoo deal like Cain was paying himself. At this point, it's all about money and book sells.

I thought he just gave him (or his pac) more money yesterday.

Did he now? Must have missed that. Last I heared he was pulling any further funds. I'll go have a look.

Edit: Yep, sure enough he gave $1million to the PAC. The article I read made it sound like Newt Gingrich was planning the AD's lol...
Edit: My guess is Adelson put him on probation. "I'll give you another mil, if you don't win a couple soon thats the last of it." :p

Remember, we want these delegate waters muddied. Newt staying in a bit longer (at least through some Confederate states) is the best thing. If polls out of SC and Georgia are anything to go by, Pauls numbers among these states is abysmal. I would rather Gingrich pickup say, Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi, then those delegates going to Santorum or Romney. There is alot of hardcore NeoCon, kill the brown people from wherever, thinking going on in the deep south there, and I doubt we can get above 10-15% in the states I mentioned. In this situation we want the delegates going spread out, and Gingrich is well positioned I think to win in the "good old boy" states. Muddy the waters.

You are assuming Newt has any real delegates beyond SC to throw around. Newt has no ground game nor has a delegate game. The Billionaire money is not helping him either. Newt has an ego, that I agree but the money will run dry very soon. The writing is on the wall. It's over. I predicted the wife scandal would take 3-4 weeks for the average voter to have it sink in. They have completely bailed on him and I cannot honestly see them returning to such filth.

I really really hope Newt gets mad enough to burn his money to attack Romney and Romney retaliates and burn alot of his cash like they did in Florida. that's a major advantage for Ron Paul.

My perception is that Newt hates Romney the most...and he may support Ron Paul in the end ...to get back at Romney.

Newt is the consumate narcissist. He will stay in as long as he sees some angle that plays out positively for him, VP, cabinet, etc. The moment that ends, he'll drop out.
