[MUST WATCH] ".. it's either now or never .." -Lindsey Williams

It's BS.

This site has lot's of people in the industry gears(non owners).

Some reason's why....

There's a very good chance claimed OPEC reserves are exaggerated.
World production stopped increasing in late 2004.
Decline rates of existing production are very high
Hubbert Linearization points to peak oil
At least one major oil company is warning us
The price of oil keeps going up.

THIS is why we are in Iraq to control one of the least exploited massive reserves left.

Ok. But look at what he actually says. He esentialy says that by the looks of it we are at peak oil or rather Hubbert Linearization points to peak oil.

Now that may very well be true. But what guarentee do we have that the exporting countrires are not forced to to maintain a certeain production level let's say from your governemnt in a let's say "you do this or we bomb you" way?

Yep, if you do just a little digging you can easly see how this might all fit together. Now I'm not saying it is the truth but damn it sounds much more reasonable than what Bush says about why Iran is a threat.

Did you read the article I linked to?

Will you provide a link to prove that is not a crock?

There's a very good chance claimed OPEC reserves are exaggerated.

Now, could it be that it isn't exaggerated and it's actually surpressed by the powers to be? What if it only seems as if we were at peak oil because someone decided so?

If you watched the video closesly, didn't the minister say that this is exactly what would happen? That the price would rise? How can someone make the price of crude oil rise artificially?

You really belive there's no chance of that? Just be more open instead of stubborn and arrogant. Research all posible angles before you decide which one is the truth..

Again I'm not saying this video is the truth, but it does a hell of a lot better explaining of why Iran could be seen as a threat.. don't you agree?

I watched it and I'm not sure what to think. What gives me pause is the whole Ken Frohm (sp?) deal. It seems rather convenient for him to get fired from ARCO, add a chapter to Williams' book, then get rehired, effectively shutting him up.

On the other hand, if it's true, this is a scary deal. I have a 15 year-old son and with our current entanglements, there would no doubt be a draft if we attack Iran (which is inevitable, IMO, if this video is accurate).

I watched the video. It was painful to watch a southern baptist minister, who has combined his style of preaching with that of Paul Harvey, go on for more than hour about the economy and oil.

It's hard to say exactly what's going on. I looked on a map and couldn't find anyplace called Gull Island near Prudhoe Bay. Googling for Gull Island only produced quotes from the guy who gave this talk. I looked at some satellite photos of the area, and didn't see anything that looks like extensive or unusual development. It's hard for me to believe that the world's largest oil field could be kept secret for almost 30 yrs. Maybe not impossible, but very unlikely.

The story about Kissinger doesn't seem right either. Saudi Arabia's oil fields were developed way before Kissinger's time.

I also don't quite buy into his story that just because he was an effective minister, that somehow he was suddenly invited into these meetings with people who "control the world". It's a big jump.

I'm not saying that he didn't experience something strange during his time in Alaska, I'm just not convinced that he is correctly interpreting what he saw. If anything, it seems more likely that he's being used for some sort of disinfo campaign. Or maybe he just wants to sell more books.

I do know that the role of the IMF and the World Bank in global affairs is huge and isn't widely understood. I don't doubt that they play an important role in influencing the price of oil, nor do I doubt his statement that we are financing the National Debt through purchases at the gas pump. What's even less well known is that IMF and the World Bank are closely tied to large US banks, the Federal Reserve and the centers of wealth behind them -- which is where the true seat of power is.

I wish someone would travel to Alaska :D cause I really want to know whether this is true or not.

Can someone find any information on the person
Abner Dethrey mentioned by this man in the video?
I tried and only found 2 hits on Google.
Both were related to this video. I find it hard to believe that this man
Abner Dethrey is not very important on Google seeing that this man's
job was to set up Saddam Hussein. The preacher makes some good points
but I truly do not believe this.
:(

I don't know about anyone by that name. However, the overall story of the US apparently "approving" Iraq's invasion of Kuwait is correct. From Wikipedia:

On Wednesday July 25, 1990, the American Ambassador in Iraq, April Glaspie, asked the Iraqi high command to explain the military preparations in progress, including the massing of Iraqi troops near the border. The American ambassador declared to her Iraqi interlocutor that Washington, “inspired by the friendship and not by confrontation, does not have an opinion” on the disagreement which opposes Kuwait to Iraq, stating "we have no opinion on the Arab-Arab conflicts". She also let Saddam Hussein know that the U.S. did not intend "to start an economic war against Iraq". These statements may have misled Saddam into believing he had received a diplomatic green light from the United States to invade Kuwait (New York Times, September 23, 1990).
