Read "Confessions of an Economic Hit Man" by John Perkins, the book mentioned by Lindsey Williams in his video. I had to read it last semester or for a Business Ethics class. It goes into great detail about how the IMF and the World Bank have enslaved third world countries with backbreaking loans and the deals America has entered into with the oil producing nations of the world and much much more. It also talks about CIA involvement in Iran, the overthrow of the Shah in the fifties and the installation of two governments in Iran since then. This is the exact kind of stuff that Dr. Paul talks about when he says that it is our foreign policy that pisses off the terrorists, not the fact that we are free or wealthy.
Very interesting stuff and a must read for anyone who wants to understand our foreign policy, how our government and large corporations exert control on other sovereign nations and seek to do the same to us.
