On a country wide basis, though, for the first time since 9/11, in a poll taken right AFTER the Watertown incident, Americans as a whole are more concerned about losing Constitutional rights than about terrorism.

I'm not sure if I would call it a favorite but it sure smacks you in the face with the reality of today.

Lots of things went through my mind that we are no longer allowed to think about, I'm sure.

I never have really had any use for any weapons like AK47's or M16 or what ever the assault weapons of today are. Maybe those that have been stock piling them have something. I sure wouldn't ban them after seeing this picture.

Maybe whomever it was that said shotguns are what is needed for home defense has something. An offhand shot through a wall, even if it missed could be followed up by another if it was off a little. If whomever they are, are portraying me as an enemy, as it appears in the picture they are, then a Google search for the effective range of OO buck shot wasn't necessarily totally out of line either.

Last night, I posted in this thread simply to post in an epic thread. Today, I have something to contribute - just a thought. My family and I are leaving in a bit to see the Grandparents, and when I do, I will show them the images and video in this thread.

I will then ask them why there has been no response from Mitt Romney.

If they were willing to entrust him with the highest office in the land, do they consider him a statesman, or even a great man? I will gather their response and report back in this space. I think it's an interesting question - and I think there will be an interesting response.

Sailing, you are right. You sourced your answer from your own mind; I sourced mine from NeoCon Ground Zero. Both methods netted the same answer. Sweet Jesus, that was the guy that the GOP rank and file wanted us to vote for, and yet, it seems they've all but forgotten about the man. He was supposed to right every wrong, to be the savior of the country...it didn't even occur to the folks that Romney has been mute as a lamp post.
