FCC, especially for radio. It costs something like 100K just to APPLY for a radio station licence. If a channel isn't being used, it should be free to homestead -- just like other property. This would result in an explosion of free speech.

We have a bunch of homestead-able spectrum in New Zealand. It makes it mission-critical that your transmitter doesn't go off air for even a moment or someone else grabs the bandwidth insanely fast an boom your are out of business.

But yes the limited nature of the radio spectrum makes secured free-to-air bandwidth incredibly powerful.

It is crazy, how can so many articles say that the straw pole win is "useless" and yet in that same article say that it was a huge win for Herman Cain? Is it really true that in fact first is the worst, second is the best, and third is the one with the hairy chest?

I really hope that when Ron Paul gets in, he does something so that the media loses its significance or the control that it has over the people. What is it that allowed so many of these media organizations to get so big in the first place? Do they all get money from the government?

This is not about the overall win, but goes beyond misleading to outright untruth.

In this Fox article http://politics.blogs.foxnews.com/2011/10/08/ron-paul-wins-values-voter-straw-poll it is reported that M. Bachmann won the Vice-Pres nod "In a separate poll question, the nod for vice president went to Minnesota congresswoman Michele Bachmann." And most of you probably think it is true (as I did), it is not, it has just been widely reported that way. Actually, Ron Paul came out ahead on the Vice-Presidential pick as well.

But with reporting like this it is no wonder people came to the wrong conclusion: "Values Voters picked four potential running mates in the vice presidential straw poll: Bachmann, Cain, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Florida) and Santorum. Ron Paul was the official VP winner with 14 percent of the vote. We need as video that begins with headlines, and news clips about Cain winning CPACFL. During the clip have text identifying his polling numbers at the time. Then switch to Ron Paul and identify what his polling at the time was. Then show the headlines Ron Paul got with this win.

If building a collage, please make the data recording as scientific as possible. Grab headlines from the same papers/writers/sections from past straw polls and compare w/ the headlines in question. Explain your process and put it in a vid for the purpose of sharing w/ others.
