Muslims: 'We don't want to take over this country'

Assume for a moment that one takes that as gospel, and that one also believes that Muslims were behind 9/11 and were happy about it and all that.

They are here to stay, but we're there to kill them en masse and stick around for years and "force them to be free."

Way more Americans are dead because of the wars than because of 9/11. Definitely way more civilians overseas have died as a result of those wars than ever died on 9/11.

Given a choice, I'd rather live here and have a Muslim neighbor than live there and be shot on my way to the market (later to be listed as collateral damage, of course).

Take an objective look at Iraq and Afghanistan lately. There were radical elements that took over those countries before, and now they are not in power. If they are not in power, then it stands to reason that they were ousted... that the countries were "taken over." Who did the taking over?

Ah, Melissa, dear, you ask too many good questions. ;):D I hope you don't accidentally "disappear" on us. :(

The EU crowd that you speak of was already in favor of a giant welfare state. It was doomed already. To blame "the Muslims" for the downfall of European economies is nearsighted at best. It's as absurd as blaming "the Mexicans" for the US crash.
It was doomed in the long run, but Muslims certainly hastened its demise as more than half of the prison and welfare burden in Western EU nations comes from non whites.

I wasn't talking about welfare states though, but about the civil war that Europe is heading for. Read up on the civil wars in Sudan, Indonesia, India, Yugoslavia, the Armenian genocide, and pretty much every other nation where the population doesn't submit to the Muslim majority.

We ousted the dictators and as soon as we leave, voluntary or because we run out of money or moral, the dictators will find their way back in charge.

Large European cities already have no go areas for women who don't wear a head scarf, so you can add those neighborhoods to your list. In forty years we should have our first Muslim ghettos in the USA, I'm sure Ron Paul will be delighted about that great achievement of religious freedom.

Enjoy the few and far between Muslim families that quietly put up with infidels while you can, or visit a Muslim area in Paris or Amsterdam if you just can't wait.

Atheism isn't a faith. Faith requires belief.

Godists often see the world as two-sided, with you, and against you.

There are thousands of religions. Atheism is not the opposite of any religion, it is a nuetrality.

I have no faith. I have theories, and I have estimations.

Faith is definitively a belief in something for which there is no evidence. If there were evidence in a specific religion, it wouldn't be faith.

Edit:

I suppose it must consistently be made clear; different people hold different definitions of Atheism and Agnosticism. Even dictionaries disagree with common-use definitions. This is funny in its own right.

Do you believe in love? How do you care to explain love? If you have never experience it in its purest state, that of unconditional love, my heart goes out to you. We live a a world ruled by fear. We are in a battle of good vs. evil each moment in our own thinking minds. The external world we live in is a result of people chosing poorly and not in the spirit of love. The present times despites mankind's efforts to prevent this state of affairs is a result of the evil (aka sinner) within us all serving the false master that always leads us down the path of greater suffering. Must are just unconscious to the struggle. A professed atheist often is as extreme in views as a fundamentalist within a given religion. To be most conscious, you must always carry with you a hint of skepticism. It is that bit of wonder and continually playing one's own devil's advocate that keeps one humble, open minded, open hearted, and in pursuit of truth for the betterment of one self as well as humanity.

So... we can't leave because the dictators will get back into power, but THEY are going to take over OUR country? You don't see that as a wee bit contradictory?

This may be difficult for you to get... but... we have "no-go" areas for all kinds of people voluntarily enforced throughout this country. Of course, once it makes the news and someone sues, the party's over. For instance, I didn't allow people to wear their shoes upstairs in my old house. Not allowed. There are many stores that say "No shirt, no shoes, no service" on the front. There are any number of places that simply will not allow you around if you are breaking a social or moral rule that they hold dear. I wish there were more of those places, clearly marked, rather than the Government stepping in to try dictate what's good for the whole of the country.

I really could not care any less if there is a "ghetto" (there are plenty of shitty areas in this country already; you can avoid them) or whether or not there's a "no-go" area for women without headscarves. If the Government's not involved, then it does not impact me or my wallet. The point of the other poster is not just about economics. The Governments in Europe meddle into everything, and they feel a need to level every playing field until there's nothing left of it. Our country is following in those dangerous footsteps, and THAT will be the downfall of things, not some Muslim boogeyman.

Just one person's opinion, but I'm sensing a trend of unease in your posts. Wouldn't it be nice to have your own corner of the world where "those people" (whoever "they" are, because everyone has people they do not want to be around, no matter how polite and PC they try to be) could be kept out? You don't accomplish that by keeping them out of your nation. You will fail at that. You accomplish that by defending the freedom to associate how and with whom you wish, and if you want you establish ______town (insert your given group preference there) that excludes undesirables, includes a morality clause -laden contract, and expels those who act immorally. Ask yourself why you can't do that now, and fight that problem rather than trying to push back at the tide of people you don't want to associate with. Personally, I'd move as far away from ______town as I could :D
