Have you guys read any of the press releases put out by the Sabrin campaign? I just read all of them, and WOW

He has one hell of a serious campaign running. It is night and day compared to the Paul campaign. About 75% of his press releases are direct attacks (and sometimes low blows) against his opponents. He has publicly called for dozens of njGOP members to resign, including his opponents and the state chairman. He has publicly threatened the chair to run candidates on his platform for every single election on every level of government in the state.

Every press release starts with this majestic sounding introduction

" New Jersey conservative Republican leader Dr. "Maverick Murray" Sabrin, the Garden State's strongest advocate of limited government and individual freedom and candidate for United States Senate,"

Wow, definitly not short on strong adjectives.

His campaign calls everyone an "extreme liberal." They have coined nicknames for all the candidates. "jersey joke" etc

And now murray is identifed as "Maverick Murray" in the press releases.

He sure is running one hell of a campaign, i just hope all the negative campaigning doesn't come back to bite him. He recently said this about a new contestant in the race...

"Less than 24 hours after Unanue decided to enter the Senate race, Sabrin put out a press release calling him a “playboy nightclub owner” and criticizing members of the Republican leadership for recruiting him."

In a critique of his state's health care crisis, he says the cure for the problem is to "expand the network of volunteer health centers, [and] change our indulgent lifestyles".

What have you actually seen?

I have been RIDICULED on these forums for my support of a stronger education system. Yet, this is the third priority of Sabrin, to "secure a first-class education for our children".

Why can't some of you think for yourselves? Ron Paul endorses him, many of you have drank the flavor-aid without questioning anything, and now you are openly endorsing a hypocritical opportunist who is riding your hard work into a golden throne of government privilege, sacrificing decency and using tactics that are dishonest and completely unwholesome. This guy won't do anything different. Mark my words.

Is this the price of freedom, and is this what it will look like? A glaring 1905 re-enactment. I'll have no part of it.

Also, if you WATCHED his debate and all of his you tube videos you would have seen that Dr. Sabrin has called for the ELIMINATION of the Department of Education!

Next time you want to criticize a close friend of Dr. Ron Paul - get your facts straight!

How exactly does he plan on doing that?

In the context of the rest of the sentence, he is clearly contrasting government involvement in health care with voluntary and personal actions. He comes on the side of personal responsibility over government intervention.

He doesn't mean that the federal government should establish an institute to force people to make correct decisions. That would go against everything he has ever said or promised. I think you are reading too far into this although I could see some confusion.

That's what the proper course of action. I believe that. I don't believe government should tell everyone to do it, they should use their wisdom to come to that conclusion themselves. I think that is what Sabrin thinks as well.

I can't think for myself? Are you this much of an arrogant asshole in real life?

You are completely misinterpreting what Sabrin means when he says "secure a first-class education for our children". Sabrin wants the same thing I want, and the same thing Paul wants, the destruction of the Dept of Ed. The difference is, his campaign realizes that saying "secure a first-class education for our children".
is much more effective politically then just saying he wishes to abolish the dept. His campaign knows how politics work. He is not lieing, he is just presenting the information in a way that appeals to a broader spectrum.

We all want a stronger education system. That is why we want to destroy the dept of ed. Do you get it, or are you still one of the dumbed down masses who think destroying the federal department of education means destroying education?

None of his tactics are dishonest, although I will concede (as I did in the OP) that some of his negative campaigning are low blows and cheap shots.

Sabrin has been outspoken against the wars, our foriegn policy, the patriot act, the federal reserve, and the power of the federal government for years. What exactly about his policies qualify him as an opportunist? He has run on this platform twice before, way before any RP revolution. The only difference is he is doing better now since RP woke up millions of people.

Sabrin ran as a libertarian for new jersey governor. Him and ron paul go way back. Ron Paul laid the groundwork for people across the country to run for office and get support from like minded people. At Sabrin's fundraiser RP called this the most important race in the country. He is consist with everything we've been fighting for.
But like others here have suggested I think you have other motives. I'm sending Murray my rebate check.

Are you even from jersey? If you are then you'd know there's no kool-aid...

I can say I've actually VOTED for Murray Sabrin TWICE. In 1997 when he ran against Whitman and McGreevy for Gov (as a Libertarian...first 3rd party candidate in NJ history to qualify for matching funds and recieve double digit support) and in 2000 when he ran for Senate as a Repub. He isn't saying anything different now than in either of those two races...
