MSNBC Tucker... Ron Paul to be in TNR

Tucker did Paul a favor by knocking the wind out of even before it hits the street.

Tucker asked directly if he ever heard Paul say those words...no

The guy looked like a nut case saying Paul talked in "Code Words"
"Freedom" is code for rasim....Yeah, Right!

I'm going to be 100 percent honest. I fear that this will sink this campaign. Racism is the ultimate taboo subject in America. I can't imagine how Ron will defend a newsletter with his name on it. I find it completely unrealistic to assume that he's never read his own newsletter.

I'm also going to say something that might piss people off. I think that Ron Paul might actually be racist, but I'm okay with that. I met Ron Paul a few months ago. I'm half Asian and very swarthy and dark. Ron was really weird with me when I approached him with my ten year old son, who is actually very fair skinned with blonde hair. I told Ron Paul it was an honor to meet him and that he was changing America and he said, "Okaaaay" and looked away. I was kind of hurt, but I have continued to support him, because I believe in what he stands for and I am perfectly understanding about old people being racist. I don't judge people for their beliefs; I only judge them by their actions. I can accept that some people are racist.

I don't think he is. He's friends with Walter Williams, respects him a lot. He was probably busy, I dono. I don't buy it.

Internet information claiming that presidential candidate Ron Paul (R-TX) is a racist – and made derogatory comments about African Americans - has been making the rounds within the blogosphere. But sources close to the editorial group that published the newsletter (or newsletters) that supposedly carried the comments claim that Ron Paul never had anything to do with them, and wasn’t even aware of them.

The [Texas Monthly] magazine defended Paul's decision to protect the writer's confidence in 1996, concluding, "In four terms as a U.S. congressman and one presidential race, Paul had never uttered anything remotely like this."

In 2007, with the quotes resurfacing, New York Times Magazine writer Christopher Caldwell concurred that Paul denied the allegations "quite believably, since the style diverges widely from his own.,"

I dare these people to try and smear Ron Paul. They cheapen the terms 'racist' and 'anti-Semite' (two very real concerns) by freely using it to attack anyone who they disagree with. Despicable!

He wasn't busy. He was having a meet and greet with his supporters. I've given the man a 1000 dollars. Anyway, I may have just been paranoid. I couldn't figure out why he was weird with me. I'm a pretty normal looking guy. Though I tend to assume most old people are racist, because of personal experience, it's not something that bothers me.

Oh please. I went to a Ron Paul rally and he was talking to and shaking the hands of all people, all colors. You're just buying into all of the propoganda. This is ridiculous.

I'm also going to say something ...

I think you probably just got the wrong impression.

I also think the content of your post is not really helping us put these accusations to bed, and I'd like you to consider deleting it. Plenty of not-friendly eyes scrutinize this forum.

Oh No They Caught Us

Who would have known they would have figured out that Ron Paul's campaign is actually a multinational conspiracy to reform the confederate union...........guys...we're caught...........le sigh

nice first post

When did I ever say WHO I am for? I do not think I did. I just enjoy politics. I am not a troll. I have never said anything negative about Ron Paul or any candidate on here. I am just joining in the free speech and political dialog.
You posted that you support Huckabee. As you put it, you already have your candidate.

Paul has said in past interviews (for instance the Google interview) that he supports the rights of individuals (gay or straight) to get married. Stating stuff like this would totally debunk this baseless attacks.

Show me where I posted that. You are making things up now buddy.

I never ever posted that. I am actually a Clinton supporter. Go over to the Ron Paul Radio chat and ask away about me. They know me because they have welcomed me to their discussion without calling me a "troll" or making things up. I actually was on DjLoTi's show the other day as a guest.

Yea some people will call anyone a troll if they don't agree with them. It's just internet mentality. I've been on boards since 2002 and it happens to every single board. Don't worry about them

In the unlikely circumstance that these allegations are true, are we going to condemn Ron?

While we are at it, are we gonna ask him if he still beats his wife? :)

Speaking of condemnation for racisim, will you condemn Barrak Obama for associating himself with the followng?:

i was able to read the piece (it's back up now).

The author doesn't bother to quote his sources and clearly takes bits and pieces of statements (probably made in response to an issue since RP doesn't seem to go on offense unless he's 'provoked')

oh well... let them smear him it'll roll off. the important thing with these smears to remember is that they DO get out in the MSM more because they aid in his defeat. It is our resopnsibility, not to trash talk back, but to be informed. When we are out doing a lit drop or just talking with friends and family about RP, we need to be the most [politically] intelligent campaigners that those people see. It's one thing to respond with a smear with another smear, it's another to actually educate yourself with what the article says, the fact that you can't check the sources of these claims because they are not quoted, etc.

Smears, unfortunately, are a good sign that we are "dangerous" competition.
